This is a one room historic log cabin furnished with a queen bed. It has a stone fireplace. This cabin has a large new bathroom with a tile shower.&nbsp;There is a microwave oven, refrigerator with small freezer, Keurig coffee maker, small dining table indoors and one on the covered porch. 

&nbsp;Hiking: Old Stone Fort is located 43 minutes away, with beautiful waterfalls.&nbsp;

&nbsp;Rock Climbing and Hiking: at Stone Door, Foster Falls, and Denny Cove, all 1 hr 24 minutes away.&nbsp;

Biking: the 12 mile Stones River Greenway is 13 minutes away.&nbsp;

Kayaking: the Duck River is 39 minutes away, and the Collins River is 1 hour away.&nbsp;

Nestled near Smithville, Tennessee, and Center Hill Lake, my property is situated at the end of a "holler," ensuring a secluded retreat. With no neighbors for several miles behind my 120 acres, this serene escape ranges in elevation from 600 to 1200 feet, featuring remarkable rock formations and canyons accessible through trails.
Revel in the tranquility as you unwind on the front porch, gazing at the stars and listening to the soothing calls of owls. Inside, find comfort in two beds boasting new gel foam mattresses (38" twin).  You bring your own sleeping bag or linens and towels. Stay connected with provided internet access while enjoying the convenience of washing and drinking water.
Experience the refreshing touch of a natural spring, where you can place a cup for a cool drink. Additional amenities include a accessible garden hose, a drink refrigerator, and a microwave. Stay cool with a ceiling fan and utilize electric plugs for your convenience. Electric heat is provided. An attached outhouse with a cedar shaving commode provides a rustic yet comfortable relief option.
Relish the outdoors on the covered deck equipped with a table, chairs, and a tabletop wood stove perfect for cooking hotdogs or roasting marshmallows. Venture down the road to explore rock hunting along a creek or make a short 4-mile trip to Center Hill Lake. Tired of campgrounds that feel more like parking lots? Come and reconnect with nature and park your RV on our private, family friendly, large, shaded, full hookup, 72 ft long, 30 and 50 amp RV site with wifi on our 50 acre farm with fire ring and picnic table and screen house. We are not a campground, just a small farm in a rural neighborhood with 2 full hookup RV sites for guests.&nbsp;

30 minutes (17miles) North of Nashville, Tennessee. There are wild Turkeys and Deer that roam the property. We also have some free range Guineas and Peacocks  which is why we ask that all dogs, while welcome,  remained leashed at all times. We do have a leash free field for dogs to run. Great place to get away and enjoy nature, take a walk on our trails through the woods, take a hike down to our creek, listen to the birds and watch the sunset over the pasture while cooking s’mores on the fire, yet not that far from Nashville!&nbsp; Perfect for enjoying nature and/or visiting Nashville.

This site is for self contained RVs only, there are no restroom facilities. Check in is between 2 pm and sundown. No check ins after dark without prior approval.

 Limit of 2 vehicles and 2 pets.

When you request to book just  let us know how many people will be camping, how many pets you will be bringing with you and what you are camping in, travel trailer or motor home, and what length in feet it is. Thank you!

Since this is a natural area of fields and woods, along with farm animals and wildlife you may encounter insects. We recommend bringing insect repellent for mosquitoes and ticks and making sure that your pets have protection also.

Camp Nashville Highland Rim

Primitive camping near Nashville on a secluded hilltop nestled in a hardwood forest.

Flat areas for tents, car / van camping, and trees for hammocks.

Plan to carry your trash out with you. Do not leave trash on property.

Please read all details / rules, and share with family or group. 

Drive to camping location. First arrive / first choice of favorite of available spaces upon arrival. Spaces are not numbered or pre-assigned.  Camping guests supply camping gear. No gear rental available.

Amenities: 2 community water hydrants, community vault toilet, fire pit at each site. 

Outdoor hot water heater for shower Apr-Oct, after forecasted freezing temperatures. Kid friendly. No extra charge for children. (verify not charged for children if selected.)

Camping location north of downtown Nashville on a ridge at a higher elevation overlooking Nashville. Camp away from noisy highways, convenient to I65 near multiple amenities, grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops . 5 miles from three I65 exits. 14 miles from I24. 18 miles from I40. 18 miles from Nashville downtown riverfront. Uber or Lyft to Nashville available.

Check in & out times are flexible. Quiet hours after 10PM. If you're hanging out or arriving after 10PM.... keep it quiet for other guests. 

Pets permitted under owner supervision. Clean up after pets, and do not allow pets to interfere with other guests. 

Please be sure all guests know camping rules!

Do Not Leave Trash!! Trash policy is carry in / carry out with you for disposal somewhere else.   Trash service is not provided as part of camping fees.  

$50 trash disposal will be requested if trash left on property. 

Vault toilet works on a septic system and is not pumped. Only place toilet paper in toilet.  Wipes, feminine products, excess tp should be placed in trash can outside vault toilet (only trash exception). 

Do not burn noncombustible items. materials or cigarettes in fire pits or leave trash in firepits. Only firewood or ashes should remain in firepit.

Do not use knives, hatches, axes, saws on live trees. 

This will be considered damaging to property.

Flora and Fauna Camp

Once a place where Whisky was made under prohibition, the regulators came and bashed down the stills that are still standing along the stream banks. This area was a bulwark for natives that hunted and fished along the stream banks, and there's artifacts that can still can be observed along the canyon where hikers can enjoy. Discover&nbsp;the&nbsp;canyon,&nbsp;stream,&nbsp;and&nbsp;much more!&nbsp;  It's blackberry season from June through the beginning of July, so if you'd like to pick blackberries that's a perfect time!

If you enjoy flora and are a plant enthusiast, this is the place for you.  

A great place to listen to the birds and see deer.

Sleep amongst a variety of wild and weird creature sculptures in a campsite like no other. 

A secluded hilltop property on 5 acres of trees, an easy 20 minute drive to Nashville. We have great sunsets up here on the hill, a peaceful little dead-end road.

The campsite is at corner of our property, tucked just out of sight of our house a couple hundred feet away.

 You can even get a painted wood cutout version of your favorite creatures from Brett!

Stay in our camper, a 1963 Shasta, remodeled by us.

We removed all of the old broken camper stuff and it is now a simple, colorful room inside, with a full size bed and some fun funky art from our collection.

 Enjoy an old VHS movie on the little tv, or some classic cassettes in the tape recorder.

Gotta love the little silver wings on the Shasta!

Just a normal firepit hangout ;)  Have a seat on the big green slug rocking chair.

A comfy full size bed, bedding, and a towel will be provided.  An old radio tuned to Nashville's 650am to keep you company

At the front of the camper you will find a countertop and shelves.  Here you will find everything for eating, drinking, cooking and washing up.  See on the right the big blue water jug and bucket below, this will be your "sink"
