The owner went over the top to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Even offered to let us use some of his bait traps to catch shad at the river. All the spots except for a few was super shaded, and well spaced from the neighbors. Definitely will be making trips back to this place!

Came in the evening, our host Ryan met us to make sure we had the right site. Gave us directions to the river on the property and was super friendly. Was a wonderful site had full hookup for our RV we have around 27 foot camper and we had no problem with backing in with plenty of room. Definitely recommend this site was amazing.

My husband and all the guys in the family loved staying at The Slab! The uncles and nephews go camping several times a year, but this was the first time to visit The Slab. They loved swimming and fishing in the creek, and love having a place to bring the dirt bikes. The sites are roomy and campground is spread out giving everyone private. Carrie is wonderful host. We will be back!

Don't worry, your parking space won't be anywhere near the cattle... but we'll be happy to safely introduce you to the herd if you'd like. Please camp next to your vehicle, and provide your own toilet. The house on the property is for Frank's use only. Please clean up after yourself, and don't mess with any animals without Frank's supervision. Cattle and horses can hurt you if you interact with them unsupervised. Please refrain from making a campfire in our fields. Finally, keep all gates closed. We don't need any livestock getting out! Thank you for your interest in camping with us. Our 300 acre farm was owned by a high ranking officer in the Civil war(not sure if it was North or South). Our log barn is one of the oldest structures in the area and is still mostly standing! We are a working farm with cattle, horses, and a lot of chickens, geese, ducks and turkey, bees, cat, and our dog. Local gossip says that a previous owner had a fish hatchery here and flew the fish out of the airstrip in the upper field. Apparently he was drunk and crashed his plane somewhere on the farm. A short list of what to expect on site includes: PRIVACY - ADVENTURE - GETAWAY Quick response time/Clear communication Spacious, shady, leaf-bed campsites 360 degree views of relaxing nature 27 Foot Waterfall (365 days of flow except during severe drought) Rock shelter under Ledge Waterfall Two shallow lazy rivers for soaking Hiking trails onsite Multiple spring-fed creeks Countless water cascades for exploring Star gazing over wide pastures Old forests for ample shade and hammock hanging Cellular reception at campsites (usually at least 1 bar) Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires. OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive. I loved writing music on my cabin porch looking at beautiful green hills with mini ponies roaming around!! The trails on the property were awesome! And at night i loved picking on the guitar with Dan and his family! They were so kind and real genuine people! I highly recommend this hip camp, he has multiple cabins, all unique and special! Plus its close to so many amazing state parks, waterfalls, and swimming holes!!!"

Bedroom and Living room furnished with Smart TV, kitchen is supplied with all utensils and bathroom with towels only. The Terry Farm is formally a running Dairy Farm est. in 1947 until 2001 now the Love and Peace put into the land still applies and we share it with you, come and enjoy a peaceful stay with us. All ponds are off limits and no fishing or boating, swimming, ice tubing or ice skating is allowed. The pond is for viewing and wildlife watching only. if you see deer on the property they are off limits as well. No fishing or hunting allowed on the property. Waivers must be signed before all guest arrive.
