It was my first time camping ever. And It was an AMAZING TIME!! ⛺️ My boyfriend and I stayed at Woods & Water. Very peaceful, birds chirping, chickens clucking, surrounded by tall trees. It’s a great location because there is paradise falls, looking glass and other falls/hikes super driving distance. The creek was peaceful. Also very clean brand new bathrooms, heater and warm water shower right on site! It was a perfect private spot great for couples. The host was very kind, checked in on us and made sure we were good. My advice is to bring a lot of firewood and keep it safe 🪵 because it rained once and made every wet. The string lights were super cute and not too bright. Also the drive there is beautiful. There’s a small marketplace/gas station super close by down the road too. Thank you so much Georgianna!

2 nights at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

This cute little cabin was right on the river, perfect spot for me and my dogs to set up camp For a few days. Short drive to some of the coolest waterfalls in NC, or just enjoy the river right in front of you. I was pleasantly surprised by thr the mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the cabin as well as heat and ac for all your needs. Hosts were very friendly and helpful

2 nights at Cold Spring Basecamp

My wife and I stayed in the treehouse for a few days following our wedding. It was the perfect oasis providing us beauty, tranquility, and a unique experience only living in a tree can provide. Every detail was well thought out and much was provided for the treehouse stay, even similar to a hotel. We so loved our time here and look forward to more stays in the future!

The campsite “Buckeye Bank” was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds were very well kept, and the cleanliness of the porta potties was a very nice added bonus. The site was secluded, but easy to find. Communication with the host was quick and extremely helpful. Blair was a huge help in helping me pick the appropriate size campsite for our group and vehicles. I would love to camp here again and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Linville area.

This site was very private from the other two. We have a reactive dog and it was so nice to just watch him be a dog in the woods. Would definitely recommend this campsite <3

Weekend Trip to Red Rooster Farm: AVL Adjacent!

The pics do not do this property justice. The camper is plenty spacious for 2, the baby goats and farm animals were just adorable, and the views were a cherry on top. I hope to be back!!

Such a nice spot!! Campsite 1 is right by the sweetest creek with huge rhododendrons sprawling over! Had a really nice picnic table, and rock fire ring, and hammock! Ground was wood chips and grass! Hiking to the waterfall was fun! So was the cold plunge! Limited hiking, we did all the trails in one morning, but beautiful area! Great signs to let you know where things were, and outhouse was so nice to have!

Love the site! We decided to go last minute and it was super easy and quick to reserve and pay. The indications on how to get there easy to follow. The site was clean and spacious. Just far enough from the next site to have privacy. Our dog loved to play in the creek (us too, we even did a cold “plunge” sitting with water to our armpits). Porta Potty were super clean. Definately recommand!

We loved our experience at Blair’s campground! Campsites weren’t super close to each other which was nice, it made us feel like we were alone in the woods. We stayed in the brand new safari tent, and it was very comfortable. Nice handmade furniture and the mattress that was very comfortable. The deck/porch was the star of the show, that’s where we hang out most of the time. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Fantastic site at a fantastic campground. Blair has thoughtfully carved out some wonderful sites on his property. Very private and isolated from each other! Our site was right on the creek. There was clearly some storm damage but things are cleaned up and in lovely shape. We had a teardrop so didn't use the tent pads but I couldn't help remarking about how great they were! Very level! Getting across the creek was fine but will say the photo doesn't portray the incline into/up out of the creek. It's a decent grade you want to be prepared for. We did it pulling a teardrop so it's doable! Communication was great. We'll be back in the fall!

We had an awesome stay! Louedith was such a sweetheart, and was very accommodating when the booking site gave us issues. Clean and quiet area. Clean port-a-potty for the site. Water was available, as well as trash disposal. There was a deck at our site, and an adorable barn down the road with games inside, and the mountain views were excellent. Also allowed pets so that was a plus. Price was definitely nice as well. Would definitely stay again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Located on the grounds of the Duckpond Pottery, The Quack Shack is a secluded treehouse perched along the banks of the French Broad River. The structure is an 8x10 A-frame that transforms via a hinged wall into an open-air cabana with a charming deck that affords spectacular views of the French Broad River and surrounding countryside. The interior of the Quack Shack, with its vaulted 11-foot ceiling and earthen plaster walls, provides a warm glow in a rainforest environment. It is furnished with a comfortable seating area surrounding a coffee table that can be easily converted to a full-size queen bed at night. On the outside deck are beach chairs and a chimenea available for use. The quack shack has electric power (1 outlet only). Amenities include a bathroom located a short walk away at the main building as well as an open-air on-demand shower located off the bathroom on a deck overlooking the French Broad River. Morning coffee and tea is available at The Tea Hut located just a hop, skip, and jump from the treehouse. NOTE: The Duckpond Pottery is a working studio pottery and gallery that is open to the public. It is also home to occasional open-air house concerts on the deck at the pottery. The host generally blocks concert dates, however, it is worth double-checking with the host that there will not be a concert if you desire a quieter experience.

We built this cabin with you in mind. Everything was custom made by us; from the woodstove rock wall, to the cabinets and outdoor picnic table. You will instantly relax when you walk into this very special place. You will never want to leave! The cabin includes a large front porch with rocking chairs where you will enjoy your warm tea or coffee each morning and evening while overlooking the peaceful pond and woods. There is an outdoor fire ring and picnic table where you can enjoy a campfire, cook on the open flame, and have smore's in the evening. Inside the cabin you will find everything to be incredibly beautiful and spaced to create the coziest atmosphere you've ever enjoyed. There is a wood burning stove indoors that when lit, takes the whole experience to the next level! But you don't have to rely on the woodstove for heat, we've installed a brand new wall unit for heat and air! You also have a DVD player and a television with an assortment of DVDs to choose from. The cabin sleeps 4-5 people comfortably. There is a full size bed that sleeps 2 in the main room of the cabin. There is a loft above that sleeps 2-3 more. A rolling library ladder is how the kids will access the loft area! So fun! The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, electric stove, oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. A peaceful mood is set by warm-toned sawmill lumber walls, recessed lighting in the ceiling, a kitchen window above the sink that overlooks the side yard campfire area and beautiful woods surrounding the cozy cabin.
