Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop. We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges. We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today. About the adventure co side, We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult). You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) This is a nice place. Sites are wide and clean. My husband stayed here while he hunted in South Mountain. Super convenient. Definitely need a heated water hose in winter. Make sure you have longer utility hoses and electrical wire because hookups are at the rear of the site not on the side. The host rents extras if you need them. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Cherry Mtn. Camp

I really enjoyed this site! It was very easy to get into, with a convenient pull-through layout that’s mostly flat and provides plenty of space. The full hookups were great, and the view of the hills and trees made it feel peaceful and open. I also loved the added sense of security — there’s a locked gate at the bottom of the drive. Getting in was smooth too, with the drive paved most of the way and well-laid, well-maintained gravel for the rest. The roomy layout also made it simple to turn around, back in, and pull out without stress. A few things to note: there’s no shade, picnic table, or fire pit, and the site isn’t clearly marked, so it took me a moment to figure out where to park. That said, I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a secure, spacious, and quiet site with hookups and a nice view.

This is our second time staying at goldenstone camp and we have enjoyed both times! The creek is nice to sit and relax with the cool water and the dogs loved the open fields run around. A tip for future guests is to make sure you have a long enough waste hose because the sewer connections are at the back of the sites. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to GOLDENSTONE CAMP

Everything at Goldstone was easy! The location next to HWY 226 made it easy to get in and out of the site. Jesus had everything ready for us with easy access to utilities and great WIFI. We put lounge chairs in the river and just enjoyed one afternoon with a little bit of fishing too. South Mountain park was a 25 min drive with great hike along the river and we drove into Forest City for dinner at the Copper Penny. It was July 4th so most businesses were closed but it is a cute town. The steps to get into the river were steep and I’m not a fan in general of sites with only gravel, but everything else was wonderful! The automatic lights at the power supply and the river deck were especially helpful and Jesus was a responsive but not invasive host. We would go again.

Really pretty and quiet! We had a really good time even though it was the hottest it’s been this year so far. It was over 90° the whole time we were there so it was HOT but we still had an awesome time! Definitely recommend having a thermacell and bug spray as you ARE in the woods. There were a ton of flies but having chargeable fans definitely helped deter them away from us! We cooked over the fires had tons of laughs and such an awesome time! The road in is bumpy but we didn’t have any trouble getting in or out! The ground is full of quartz which is so pretty to look at but if you’re sleeping on the ground I would recommend a thick sleeping pad or cots! We had cots so it didn’t bother us at all!

Teresa was a great host and has a lovely piece of property on the lake. the fhu campsite is a bit tricky to get into if you have a larger camper, but we did just fine. she met us at the driveway and walked us thru what we needed to do. we had a peekaboo view of the lake from the camper. the site was level side to side but a bit downhill. we had no issue getting level with our 28 ft tt. it’s a short walk down the hill to the dock behind her home.

The location is perfect! It's beautiful and feels very secluded and "away from it all", while not actually being in the middle of nowhere. It's close enough to various stores and the highway should you need supplies or whatever, but on the property you can kinda forget the outside world for a little while. And the hosts are awesome! They are gracious and friendly. A+++ 10/10 I highly recommend.
