3.5 acre property, last remaining part of old inlet horse farm, with plenty of natural buffers from the few neighbors in our vicinity and between our camp sites, as well as the road. So close to everything the inlet area has to offer. Beaches, tidal inlet with boat ramps, Waccamaw River with boat ramps, restaurants, shops, bars, State Parks, nature preserves, fun attractions and much, much more, all just moments away. We are set up as a “primitive” camping experience, the property is kept very natural, unmanicured for the most part, little to no herbicides or insecticides used here. It’s a work in progress, is difficult for me to tackle chores due to physical disabilities, so some private areas are disorganized at this time. I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range. I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free. Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome. I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Scott is a wonderful host. The site was easy to get into, very well taken care of, and private. The location is central & convenient to everything nearby. We loved camping at scott’s spot!! he was extremely considerate from the moment we pulled in, he even had treats and a ball ready for our pups the spot is tucked behind on his land and could adjust to small/big families and had everything we needed for tent camping (plus more) and he even surprised us with eggs from his chicken to cook for breakfast. the area is both away from the hustle and bustle but also close enough to the beach and food. overall, super generous man who we can tell loves company, we could have sat and talked to him for hours but unfortunately we were short on time, thanks for everything you did for us, scott!!

Scott was very hospitable, despite us checking in very late due to bad weather on the road he was there to greet us and show us the spot. He kindly offered for BBQ, and even surprised us with some fresh watermelon. The campsite is very close to town, Walmart, gas stations, the beach, though being in a secluded spot. **Make sure to bring mosquito repellent.

We loved tent camping on Scott's property! The area was very private and included a private campfire ring, bbq, compost toilet, and picnic table—and a shared space including an outdoor shower. Scott was SO helpful and kind! He brought us tiki torches to put up near our tent and even flowers since we were celebrating a birthday. Extra fun perks were the chickens and cat running around on occasion! (don't forget your bug-spray!!)

This camping resort has so much to do! We only stayed one night as we passed through but we've already made plans to come back and fully experience the resort. The lot sizes are generous and so are the amenities. Despite how much they have to offer their prices are fairly low compared to other similar camp stores with a few onsite restaurants to get an easy breakfast or dinner at too! There were only two drawbacks I remarked on that were also positives - first, it's super bright at night. We stayed in a lake Perry lot to have some shade from the sun and not be in the middle of the rows of other campers but the spotlights from the adjacent condo complex meant our tent was lit up inside and out all night. It's a positive because it's definitely well lit and safe but I'd bring something to cover your eyes for better sleep. Second drawback was the sound of all the golf carts driving around throughout the night. I think it was the security team doing rounds but it took some time to get used to. Once I got really in to my sleep they didn't wake me up at all. This is the perfect vacation spot for anyone looking for a one stop shop for family fun and endless activities. I don't think you could see/do everything here even if you stayed a whole week. It's an awesome place and very affordable. The entire staff is patient and helpful. Check in and out was relaxed and everything is tied in to the app if you need to know when something is open or just need supplies delivered to your camp

Scott is very friendly and welcoming. He had water ready for us and even treats for my dog! He gave us good recommendations to local restaurants and the best places to take the dog to the beach. The site felt private and had a compost toilet. We woke up to the noises of the rooster, but the animals on the property stayed to themselves and were cool to see. Overall we had a great stay.

I loved camping at Lakewood! It doesn’t matter where you are on this campground it’s beautiful everywhere you go, the beach is great with many points of access. The waterpark was super fun and included with the stay. My children absolutely loved the smaller kid area splash pad. And parents, this is the perfect place to go with younger kids, super family friendly and clean and safe. The splash pad was an amazing place to go sit and chill while the kids went and ran out energy. I’ll be going again for sure. Possibly even making a new Easter tradition to go there and camp every year with my family. That’s how much I enjoyed myself this weekend. Thanks again Lakewood!!!

Such a well kept quiet RV park, all hookups worked as they should and area around space was clean and mowed. We stopped in the coffee shop on the last day for a coffee and hot breakfast sandwiches and were very impressed. We would highly recommend this park and will definitely stay again.

My dog Frieda and I really enjoyed our stay at Scott's campsite. Scott welcomed us in and we set up camp for the night. There's a lot of room to pitch a tent and set up other necessities. It was a nice recluse from the busy streets. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area :)
