This dry campground is located on 9 acres. You have the option of setting up on the front part of the site (easily accessible by small RV & other vehicles) or the wooded section in the heart of nature (vehicles restricted). The campground has plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the outdoors.
There are no hookups or amenities, so campers are encouraged to bring all the supplies they need for an enjoyable camping experience. It is a great spot for a peaceful getaway with family and friends.

I stayed here two nights in my campervan with my rescue beagle and the land was beautiful, serene with the creek on one side and a short-leaf pine forest on the other. Beautiful area. Full hook ups. Check in and location directions were clear. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Blissfully quiet at night.

Absolutely the best one I’ve been to so far. Lovely, clean, easy to get in and out, and very private. Even has a little covered area with lights and a fan. If you’re driving through Saluda, this is the perfect spot for an RV or tent. Oh! And James is super nice and very helpful. He shows that he truly cares about his property and guests.

I hobbled into Sunny Day Adventures on an almost-flat tire on Christmas Eve, thinking I would have to wait until the day after Christmas to get it repaired and then continue on my journey. But, lo and behold, the host has a tire shop behind the house! Joe patched up the tire on Christmas morning and I was on my way. What a Christmas blessing!
Extremely kind hosts, sweet family and cute Airedale puppy.
The camping spot has a full hook-up behind a little building used as an Airbnb. It is on a rather busy road, but the noise was barely noticeable. It felt like a peaceful country setting, even though it's just a couple of minutes from the historic town of Abbeville.
I highly recommend Sunny Day Adventures!

We had a relaxing stay at Dogwood Ridge. The site overlooks a beautiful horse pasture, and my kids loved spending time around the firepit with a seating area. Although it feels like a peaceful countryside retreat, Chapin is very close by with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. We’d definitely stay here again!

My family had a great time! Nice, simple little camp spot in the woods with a campfire. Completely secluded and quiet. Great views of the stars with no lights. Lots of wood around, but would recommend bringing some of your own. Small wildlife and deer. The host was very helpful. I would recommend! 👍

I really want to write a bad review so I can keep Dogwood Ridge a SECRET!! But there is nothing bad to say about Mark, his family or the campsite. It was a great stay and the property is so beautiful. We felt right at home and very blessed to have found this place. We will definitely be back and if you stay here make sure to ask about “Lila’s Sweet Treats”. You will not be disappointed at Dogwood Ridge!!
