Crabs in the creek for the kids to catch. It's a jungle. We have a lot of fruit trees on the property. If you see anything ready for the taking let us know and you can partake in the experience of harvesting and eating it. Bananas, avocados, soursop, guava, fig, calabaza, coffee, name, coconuts, pana pen, and more. Clean filtered mountain water is available for purchase. Inside the Scenic Route, our place provides you with a unique experience to reconnect with nature and yourself. The climate is ideal to get cozy with your loved ones, including your pets, and get up slowly between clouds of fog. Over 500 squared meters of half fenced land will provide you a space to explore barefoot with your companion pets. This open space also provides you with the essentials for a special evening: wine glasses, bottle openers, and coal. Inhale fresh air far from the city and the noises. Lie down under the sky and watch the stars and fireflies during a clear night. The camping site has a private entrance with a self check-in gate. Parking spot is located outside the property so you must be willing to walk downhill to access the area. We only use solar or batteries lights. Outside dining table included. This campsite is a must-visit on the island. There’s a trail inside the property that leads to a stunning waterfall where you can enjoy the view and even take a swim. The campsite also has chickens, a horse, and a pig, it's clear the host truly loves this place and has decorated it with so much care. She even brought us delicious coffee in the morning, which was incredibly sweet. I’d definitely come back the next time I visit Puerto Rico!

Great communication and a nice spot in the jungle next to running water and plenty of coquis to sing us to sleep. Will definitely consider coming back for more than just an overnight stay next time!

Truly amazing spot to camp. The river borders thousands of acres of protected tropical rainforest. A trail takes you to an epic swimming hole and to a beautiful waterfall!! The bathrooms have the best hot showers on the island. I never ran out of hot water. The covered camping area kept me nice and dry and the stove was handy. The farm and chickens and horse are nice. The hosts couldn't have been nicer! My favorite camp!

It is difficult to overstate just how wonderful this place is. Andres gave us clear and concise directions on how to get there, via pre-recorded video, and that made it easy to get there. The drive itself was marvelous because for the most part you are high on the mountains. We are avid campers and brought everything we needed but have to say that the outdoor kitchen/gazebo was pretty darn cool and convenient! There is a stove, kitchen sink, a “fogón” (cooking fire pit) as well as a full size refrigerator. This was more “Glamping” than “camping”. We camp every month on full moon as I love to watch the moonrise as well as the moonset and this place was particularly special for that. As someone that grew up in Puerto Rico but lived most of my adult life outside the island, what I can tell you about the area is that the residents are extremely friendly, well manners and considerate that I am otherwise accustomed to. Everybody we saw whether driving on or driving out would wave at us, as if we were known to them. I hope you try this place and when you do, I am confident you are definitely going to enjoy it.

Tomas was great! The place was great! We stayed in his private camping area with an amazing view. We had a rainy first day but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the site. Tomas made sure we had everything we needed. Even though we were tent camping, it was nice having a working shower, toilet, and sink near by. The pool is in just a great location to enjoy such a breath taking view. His art is very custom and overall just a great vibe. He has a little slice of heaven here.

What an awe-inspiring, beautiful and grounding experience in Utuado. Our stay at TJ Ranch was more than we hoped for and exceeded our expectations. Tina's warmth, hospitality and farm-to-table meals left us feeling taken care of in a way that moved us to extend our stay an additional night. The cabins were clean and well-kept. The land was a unique perspective of the mountains and the stargazing was phenomenal. Our kids enjoyed the pool and especially the animals. Tina and her family took the time to show them their daily farm routine and maintenance. Be prepared for a windy, uphill drive to get there, but it's totally worth it! We would recommend this gem to anyone looking for a unique, off-the-beaten path place to unwind in Puerto Rico! We certainly look forward to returning in the future!
