3 nights at Rainforest Campground & GlampingThe views are absolutely amazing, and we truly loved the hike down to the river, that was definitely the highlight of our stay. The location is beautiful and feels very close to nature, you would see a lot of birds.
That said, it’s important to come prepared for a true camping-style experience. Privacy is limited: you can see guests from the other tent and hear them from time to time. The bathrooms for each tent are located in the same area, just facing opposite directions, so if you’re very private or more introverted, this is something to keep in mind.
We also experienced issues with the water system. The hot water in the showers wasn’t working properly, and a water tube was broken. We were told it would be fixed during our stay, but it wasn’t. Because of this, we had to manually turn a valve on and off each time we needed to use the toilet. We were offered the option to use the campsite bathroom, about a 10-minute walk away, but the showers there were either cold or extremely hot, making them difficult to enjoy.
Other than these issues, we really loved the place, the natural surroundings, and the hike. With improvements to the water system and clearer expectations around privacy, this could be an incredible stay.
