Twisted Oak Campsite: A medium-sized luxury private site includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for maximum 8 guests with parking for 4 cars on site and has space for several tents. This site has a picnic table, portable toilet, scenic overlook, hammock, fireplace, benches, charcoal grill, and on-site string lights.
Red Maple Campsite: A large luxury private site that includes potable water and electricity on site, designed for a maximum 10 guests with on-site parking space that is 90ft long and 20ft wide, for an RV or 6-8 cars and overflow parking for several more cars. It is designed to be backed into with an RV and then pulled out of. This is our 100 yr old family farm. The lower fields are used for beef cattle grazing and hay making. There is a rough road to walk up to the fields and woods above. We are very close to the Aughwick creek where there is kayaking and fishing. There are many trails in Huntingdon County. We are about 45 mins away from Lake Raystown dam where there is boating and camping and trails. The 1000 steps is a popular hiking trail.
We have a recently remodeled farmhouse for short term rentals. There is a spot for a motor home that would have electric and water hookups.

We loved staying at the Star Lee Farm. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I. There was enough firewood for us to have a fire all day the one day and a few shorter ones as we needed other days. The walk to the outhouse was short and the views for that area to the surrounding mountains and trees was beautiful. The cabin was remote, we could see the other one through the trees if we tried but no one was staying there. They checked in via message a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything and restocked the bathhouse halfway through our stay. We were just a short drive from hiking at a state park which was great.

We had a lovely time and would love to return. We stopped one night on the way and one night on the way home to break up our longer journey to western PA on our motorcycles. Directions and information were accurate and helpful. The family is very helpful at check in and with answering any other questions. It's an absolute oasis in the woods with a beautiful view of the valley. It's a great way to feel unplugged and relaxed while having all creatures comforts (hot shower, kitchen/grill, very comfy bed). After our first night's stay, we even made a point to get back early for our second night's stay to enjoy grilling, reading on the porch and relaxing listening to old records. My husband was inspired by all of the thoughtful, skillful wood working in the cabin. It's wonderful that this family are stewards of both the land and also the history of the property as they took the time to rehab the old cabin on the property. Highly recommend.

Kevin was super accommodating and the cabin was very clean and cozy with lots of little extras. The outside of the cabin had a picnic table and fire pit and was private. Cell service was good enough to stream a movie on netflix on our laptop too. We will definitely stay here on the property again.

Star Lee is a wonderful setting for a bucolic visit to Central PA. Close to Raystown Lake and other state lands it offers a nice stay for anyone to hike, bike, hunt, or fish in the area. Stargazing and daydreaming also included. As a working bee and hay farm, Star Lee offers the opportunity to settle in, relax and enjoy. It is clean, comfortable, and obviously well cared for. I highly recommend Star Lee and am still enjoying their honey. We’ll be back.

Weekend Trip to Star Lee Farm
We have stayed in a lot of hip camps, but this by far is one of the very best that we’ve stayed in. Some of the highlights: cozy cabin nicely decorated. No heat or electricity, but he had lanterns for us, but we brought our own. Nice outdoor area with a picnic table and a fire pit that was perfect. Also a gas grill for us to cook on. He is two other cabin places, but they are so far apart that you can’t really hear or see anyone else. The property is huge and it is a working bee farm and it was very cool. These are located nowhere near the cabin, so you never have to worry about the bees being near your cabin. Highly suggest you learn about raising bees from our host! He has delicious honey for sale and an awesome piece of property with lots of different birds and deer. we walked around his property the first day and went 1.7 miles so it is very large. Also, very nice that it is a close walk to the flushable toilets and hot water showers. This was also a huge plus for us in October. Kevin is very responsive. He is also retired military and very compassionate and energetic about his farm. We came up for the end of the road half marathon/4miler, but in addition to that there is much more in this area if you like the outdoors. We did not go to Raytown Lake / Alpaca farm which we will visit next time. We love to hike and within 15 minutes is beautiful hikes with awesome views in including the thousand steps and the standing stone trail. We highly recommend!!!

The doggy was able to explore and be free. Lisa recommended some things to do, and we had a lovely conversation about similar experiences and people we know. Perfect host and perfect spot for a perfect weekend.

If you’re looking for wide open sky and some peace and quiet, look no further and head to Star Lee. Kevin is a gracious and accommodating host! He even checked in to ensure we returned home safe and sound. Simply can’t be beat and we’re very fortunate to have our first Hipcamp stay at Star Lee and looking forward to return. We loved our stay at Sassafras Hollow! The farm was cute and everyone was very friendly and happy to show us around. We bought some produce from our hosts and it was delicious. Benny the farm dog is a real charmer too! The cabin was clean and air conditioned, we enjoyed looking through the books and movies. We also took a short drive to Cowan's Gap for a hike and a great view. Couldn't have asked for more!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Kevin's Honey Bee Cabin! The cabin was super cozy and clean. He even had us all set up with little extra stuff like a box of fire starters, a roll of paper towels, bottled water, and a free sample of honey from his farm! The firepit and picnic table were well taken care of and the grill looked brand new. The shower house was a short walk from the cabin was also clean and had hot water. He was very good at checking in with us over message and occasionally in person to see if we needed anything. We went for our 8 year anniversary and to see the lunar eclipse. It was convenient since there was a nice open field for stargazing so we had a perfect view of the eclipse! Overall a great stay, thanks Kevin for a great weekend!

Camp Stonewall is to me what a cabin/hunting camp should look like & be....secluded on top of the mountain with trees around it...I've enjoyed staying there; even tho it was mostly @ the evening after hunting for deer....LOL.....would definately reccomend to others....Bob Cidor
