We are located in beautiful Clearfield county Pennysalvina. Our farm is on over 150 acres. It’s has been in the family for generations. It has beautiful farm views with wooded areas. There is lots of wildlife to see. Including bear, bobcat, deer, eagles, fishers, and many other species. We have lots of hiking trails and our property also boarders state game lands. It’s a short drive to the Susquehanna River and other parks. You can also enjoy the cows, goats, peacocks, chickens, ducks, and turkeys at the farm. Nearby is Bilgers Rocks, Rock Run Atv Park, Prince Gallitzin State Park, the Susquehanna River, and many other fantastic outdoor activities. It’s a place to unwind and relax. And connect with nature. This is in a very rural part of Pennsylvania and camping in the winter weather can be difficult. So please prepare yourself with additional sleeping bags for winter. The tent is heated but because of the unpredictable and sometimes dangerous weather you need to be prepared. The bathroom is also outdoors so there will not be a shower provided till after the freezing weather. And the loo is not heated. It is also recommended that you have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive to get to the campsite in the winter. It is possible to walk from road to site. But you should consider this when booking. RTR is a very beautiful place in the winter but it can also be dangerous if you’re not prepared.

A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. All camp sites are on the eastern border and close to the main road to access property. This riverfront, fully equipped, beautifully crafted treehouse is not your average child's treehouse, but kids are certainly welcome. Walk up the easy 14 steps into this A Frame tiny house and you'll be surprised at the roominess. Inside you'll discover a full kitchen, full bathroom with shower, living area with sofa bed sectional, dining area, and loft with a queen bed. Step out on the deck, just a stone's throw from the river and listen to the sounds below of the gurgling moving water over the rocks. Move down below the treehouse to find another huge deck with a hot tub, relaxing seating, and a table for dining outside. But that's not all; step off that deck to a fire pit and steps leading to the river. The river is great for swimming, fishing, and boating and we even supply a canoe and kayaks.
Much of the treehouse was built with wood from the property, including the poplar floor joists, rafters, and siding. Inside you'll find several different species of beautiful wood, most from the property, including black walnut, oak, ash, cherry, and more. The two giant Tulip Poplar trees that supports the treehouse continue to grow and in the early summer produce the tulip like flowers.
If you're up for exercise or adventure, just across the river is the H&BT Bike Trail, which is now 14 miles long. A short drive takes you to a trailhead or if you're just looking for a hike on the trail, canoe across and climb up the short hill to the trail. Also across the river is a 2600 acre Pennsylvania State Game Land and 2000 foot high Kimber Mountain; if you're looking for a challenging and primitive hike, climb the mountain or work your way up Kimber Run, a small brook with many small waterfalls. Adventure abounds near Treehouse Waters.
There are also many other things to do in Bedford and Huntington Counties. The Raystown Lake is less than 20 miles away and the county seat, the small, charming town of Bedfrod is also only 20 miles away. Take a look at the Bedfrod County Tourist site for more activities.

We are about 45 mins away from Lake Raystown dam where there is boating and camping and trails. The 1000 steps is a popular hiking trail.

Seven Feathers has 6.5 acres with several wildflower and herb gardens, along with a small fruit Orchard! Our property is close to Allegheny River access with a local boat ramp in Reesdale, and a fishing pier at Lock 8. From here, you can take the locks all the way to Pittsburgh.
Several ATV trails have easy access because you can legally ride on the township roads! A lot of wildlife to see, including deer, bear, fox, coyote, several bird species, and bald eagles. We're close to State Gamelands for hunting. You're welcome to eat any fruit that has ripened here during your stay.
The miles of ATV trails are also fun to hike or ride your horse on. Campfires allowed, leashed pets allowed, must be leashed at all times, dogs, cats, and horses. Bring your pets! There is a spring with potable water on the property. Beautiful sunsets here, plus an amazing view across Reesdale Road. You might catch a rainbow too if it rains! Our personal favorite view is the vast nighttime sky. Perfect place for stargazers. Watch the beautiful sunrises and "moon-rises" over the tree tops.
You can run generators anytime, but please be considerate of other campers. Very Private location. There is a bar/restaurant close by in Adrian. It's 10 miles to downtown Kittanning, where festivals and concerts in the park are held, plus more restaurants, stores, and rails to trails for bike riders. There are fishing ponds and large glacial rock formations nearby.
Tours to the places mentioned can be scheduled for a fee if we're available. We will have a small map of the area with places marked. You're welcome to cut and use fallen trees. Please don't bring firewood from other counties due to the spread of diseases and destructive insects. Welcome to Seven Feathers, where you can just relax or partake in the recreational activities. We loved our stay at this farm . Kevin was an amazing host and you can see that as soon as you pull up on thr cabin as it was supper clean and he had everything you could need . I definitely recommend the honey bee experience what an amazing experience we will never forget ! Bruce’s place exceeded our expectations! The treehouse was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The riverfront location was the highlight—our family spent hours swimming, fishing, canoeing, and floating. Evenings around the campfire making s’mores and cooking steaks over the fire made for unforgettable memories, and the hot tub overlooking the river was the perfect way to end the day. The treehouse itself was comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, a cozy loft bedroom, and beautiful views from every window. It felt private and peaceful while still having everything we needed. If you’re looking for a quiet escape surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Ridge Top Retreat is a fantastic peaceful getaway in Appalachian farm country (thanks again for the farm tour, we loved the friendly goats). Rebecca has already thought of literally everything so that you don’t have to; odds are good that if you forgot it, it’s already covered. Amazing attention to detail, every last thing is cute, inviting, comfortable, and well thought out - you can tell that she genuinely cares about your visitor experience. The site itself offers a beautiful view of the countryside that you might see in a painting. The campfire is cozy with lots of tree canopy and comfortable even in light rain. Having ample firewood already on site makes it so much easier. Every one of the extras and amenities make all the difference (a hot shower is a BIG one). I would highly recommend anyone who wants a calm, safe, relaxing, and comfortable experience to have a visit.

We loved staying at the Star Lee Farm. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I. There was enough firewood for us to have a fire all day the one day and a few shorter ones as we needed other days. The walk to the outhouse was short and the views for that area to the surrounding mountains and trees was beautiful. The cabin was remote, we could see the other one through the trees if we tried but no one was staying there. They checked in via message a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything and restocked the bathhouse halfway through our stay. We were just a short drive from hiking at a state park which was great.

We had a lovely time and would love to return. We stopped one night on the way and one night on the way home to break up our longer journey to western PA on our motorcycles. Directions and information were accurate and helpful. The family is very helpful at check in and with answering any other questions. It's an absolute oasis in the woods with a beautiful view of the valley. It's a great way to feel unplugged and relaxed while having all creatures comforts (hot shower, kitchen/grill, very comfy bed). After our first night's stay, we even made a point to get back early for our second night's stay to enjoy grilling, reading on the porch and relaxing listening to old records. My husband was inspired by all of the thoughtful, skillful wood working in the cabin. It's wonderful that this family are stewards of both the land and also the history of the property as they took the time to rehab the old cabin on the property. Highly recommend.

Richard is the best, most accommodating, communicative host. He went out of his way to get me what I needed. The site is as advertised, bring a good sleeping pad. I would go back in a heartbeat. He also has an RV if you need a mattress and on demand hot water. Definitely give Richard's site a stay!

This was the perfect little space to get away from life in the winter. The little propane heater was enough to warm up the space in the middle of the night and early morning. I didn't have the right gear to hike in the snow but I will be back to try out the trails in the spring! There was plenty of fire wood and a solo stove which we didn't really use but I appreciate that it was available. Also the hosts were very friendly and offered extra lights and things to make my stay more cozy. I will most definitely be back with better gear ❤️ Thank you again for making this quiet space available for people to get away from the busy world!

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. Our host showed us around her farm and the site was nice and private. It dropped to 2 degrees during our stay but we were able to stay warm with layers and the propane heater kept up just fine. Can’t wait to go back next year!
