Wonderful experience on Craig's land! The whole time was as close to perfect as possible - perfect weather, cool evenings/mornings that caused a beautiful fog resting on the water, that dissipated as you finished your morning coffee. Nice sized lot that can accommodate larger groups but just as perfect for a solo camper like me!
Loved having the trains so close (they can be quite loud but I absolutely loved it) and the clear water right there for fishing, kayaking. My favorite so far, I can't wait to go back!
PS (this is not a complaint, just an FYI) - T-mobile service is not really existent at the site, but Verizon is good. Just FYI.

This place is perfect! Craig is so easy to get ahold of with any questions and quick to respond. We loved our stay at his amazing campsite and plan to come back and stay again for sure! The site is right next to the river, has plenty of space for multiple tents and dogs. The fire pit comes ready with a grate on it. He has wood available at the site. We tried our hand at fishing, but didnt catch anything. Either way, it was a very amazing river campsite. There is a train that passes by occasionally on the other side of the river, but that was no bother to us. We cant wait to go back!

The place was just what we were looking for. On the site there was a lot of flat space to put our tent or walk, the fire pit had a variety of grills you could use for easy cooking, and there was a perfect view of the water which was relaxing. It was a great place to bring our dogs. Picnic tables were also definitely handy. The site was down far enough from road to be quiet and private, and the train tracks across the river didn't bother us at all. The porta-john was very clean and stocked with toilet paper. And it was really nice to be able to buy firewood there and pay with Venmo (when our cell reception worked). The owner was great with communication. Highly recommend staying there, we will be back.

Great site that feels very private and secluded yet it is still close to many local activities and necessities if wanted. Only downside is the occasional train going by at night so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to be next to the water & you could easily launch a canoe from this site. We did fish from the shore but recommend bringing waders. We did see a lot of people on the water fishing & canoeing - so you can people watch. There was a lot of train activity but it could have been a busy schedule weekend so not the norm. Overall enjoyed our stay & will book again.

This had to have been one of the best spots we have stayed at so far. It was very private which was exactly what I was looking for! The river was absolutely beautiful, seen many eagles and hawks, and seeing them diving for fish was awesome to see.
Loved the train being right across the river too!

What an absolutely amazing site. The location is awesome - we were able to run into town to grab things we needed and we spent most of Saturday sitting and swimming in the river. It rained all day the day we arrived but the site was mostly dry - almost no puddles at all. The porta potty was very very clean. The hill getting down to the site is a tiny bit steep and is tough to navigate when it's wet - mostly just an FYI for fellow campers. We will absolutely be back many times. Thank you for sharing you piece of paradise, Craig!

We lived camping along the river at Craig’s land. The river was clear and beautiful to wade in. The campfire area is nice with a grate over a portion that is good for cooking your meals over. Craig was responsive to questions and helpful. It was fun to see the trains passing by on the opposite side of the river.

The camp site was great right on the Yough River. The bike trail was nearby and was an easy trek to Ohio Pyle. Fire pit, picnic tables, a can for garbage and a porta john !! If you like tent camping this place rocks !! And the best part no neighbors!!! Thanks Craig I’ll be back for sure.

Craig’s property was wonderful for a long weekend away! We loved the proximity to the bike path that we walked our dogs into town on. Lots of rain proceeded our arrival so the water was higher (and cold!) but lovely to sit by. Note that the train across the river is LOUD and runs frequently, including at night. It didn’t really bother us but it might not be ideal for light sleeper kiddos who get scared at night.
Porta potty was very clean- note that toilet paper is provided but hand sanitizer is not. The fire pit setup was very nice and the nearby picnic tables were convenient for meal prep and eating. Craig was very communicative and responded quickly to questions. We would happily recommend this site to others and stay here again!

Reluctantly writing this review as I would like to keep this gem all to myself!
Craig's camp is a beautiful spot along the river, and close to all things you would want to do in the area. I was a little unfortunate to have visited after a ton of rain had fallen in the area, but was able to find a dry spot along the river to pitch my tent.
There is a ton of room along the river and up off the water where you can pitch tents. Campfire with cook grates is right on the river, making for a great dinner experience. A clean porta pot and two picnic tables are on the property as well.
Will definitely be staying with Craig again!

I had such a wonderful experience tent camping at this riverside retreat! The host's directions made the site easy to find, but once I got there it truly gave retreat vibes with peace and natural beauty all around. The site (including the porta potty) was very clean and well-maintained. It was lovely to be right on the river, and I also loved that it was an easy drive to Ohiopyle and other destinations in the Laurel Highlands and surrounding areas.

Selfishly, I'm conflicted to write such a raving review for fear of losing the true magic of this place by over use by travelers, but my willingness to share this extraordinary place prevailed. There are very few places anymore where you can truly detach completely, and be one with nature. There aren't many words to describe falling asleep to the sounds of the Youghiogheny river, and the occasional freight train passing that is across the river. Nor are there places where you will wake up to beautiful mountain sunrises right like this. I won't pretend to know a prior time when this existed, but I am grateful to have found a place that can show me a piece of that time. If we're getting down to brass tax, the river while too cold during our stay was clean and provided us ability to wash our dishes, and if we needed to bath, we would use it to shower. The port o potty was clean and a nice comfort to have. The grounds are vast, lush, and are reclusive/private from others. If we were traveling with a large group there would have been room for many more tents and people. My family of 4 will be back to enjoy this hidden treasure right in Confluence, PA.
