Located just outside of Parker, PA and 25 minutes from I-80, our campsite is very accessible, yet still very remote. With 4 campsites on 75 acres, guests have ample privacy and space, with the freedom to roam this posted property that has no homes on it. Perched high above the Allegheny there are several spots to take in the wonderful views. There is also a waterfall with a 3’ deep pool below it. Great for splashing with kids or dogs, guests love exploring the creek bottom and making new discoveries. The more curious guests sometimes find the ruins of the original homestead, chimney and spring house that sit upstream. The property is teeming with wildlife. Birds and tree frogs will be the soundtrack of your visit, and often deer will be seen nosing along the outskirts of your site in the mornings and evenings. Turkey, bald eagles and even bear are occasionally spotted, so be prepared to secure your food and trash at night. For those coming to disconnect, you have found the right place. But if cell service is needed, you will have enough to get texts out and depending what site you booked, calls and internet as well. For those who seek an electrical outlet AND and EV charger, we have a site for you! We also have a site with a large canvas tent already set up for your convenience. Within a 15 minute drive of your campsite you can find The North Country Trail, Rails to Trails Trailheads and Boat Launches on the Allegheny River, Groceries, dining and beer. Welcome to our 40 hidden acres of paradise where we are surrounded by wildlife and raise much of our food including beef, pork, chickens and a productive garden. We have multiple campsites here from wooded to open field or by the pond so come and pick one that suits you best. We are adjacent to the Kennerdell Tract Of Clear Creek State Forest which has miles of hiking and biking trails as well as the Allegheny River which provides fishing, boating, kayak/ canoeing opportunities. There is also The Allegheny River Trail which provides miles of paved bike trails. What we offer: We are not a campground and do not offer multi-night stays We are vandwellers when we are traveling. As such we understand the problems associated with finding a spot to overnight. We offer just that, a safe, quiet stop over for the night. Gordon Glen Woods is nestled in the picturesque Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania and is an eight-acre wooded land adjacent to 8,200 acres of state game land and is 1.5 miles from two trailheads of the Ghost Town Trail, Pennsylvania’s trail of the year 2020. There is 49 miles of trail from Ebensburg to Indiana Pennsylvania. Visit Ghost Town Trail for more information. We have two campsites that can accommodate campers up to 30 feet and are easily accessible yet secluded. Both campsites include a fire ring, free first load of firewood, a table, and close access to the Bathroom Bungalow that contains a composting toilet, mirror, and plenty of room to change. There is no running water or electricity. A convenient dump station, located at Yellow Creek Campground, is only 8 miles on Rt. 422. Enjoy a nature walk trail around the property. Avid and novice birdwatchers will enjoy the sounds of the wood thrush and more than 25 species on our wooded property. Robert Gordon Violin Maker’s studio is on site. Tours are available to learn about the history of violin making, and if your timing is right, enjoy an old-time music circle jam most weekends. Such a beautiful location. The views were amazing. The hosts were super accommodating and kind. They were on site when we visited, and they offered to give my nieces and nephews a ride in their buggy. They had a blast. Kids and dogs loved trekking through the creek and exploring the waterfall. The open field was great for us to play all sorts of games. Played capture the flag at night. All in all a great time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10) This was my first Hipcamp trip and it couldn’t have been better. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and gave me everything I wanted out of a true camping experience — wildlife, wide open sky, and the kind of quiet you just can’t find at home. Even with storms rolling in overnight, it felt raw and real in the best way.

Exactly as advertised. Great layout for groups, enough flat land for activities, and beautiful surroundings. Great trails on site. We made the adventurous trek down to the river from this site which took about 30 minutes. Trail was a tough challenge but we enjoyed it. The compost toilet was very clean, and it was great having the wood shed next to the site. Great communications from ownership and everything was very smooth. Highly recommend!

Great campsite on a lovely property. Though I got in late and left early, I was able to chat briefly with Martin and Debbie who very friendly and welcoming. Quiet and very safe. Perfect pit stop off i80 for a long road trip. Highly recommend!

I had a great night here on an absolutely beautiful spot of land. The adventure started on the final drive up to the property where you traverse some really cool backwoods roads to get to this absolute gem. The EV site was easy to find after entering the property and while Im driving a regular vehicle It would have been immensely convenient if I needed the EV charger or power hookups. Would have loved to spend longer exploring the property and hope to be back in the future!

Our group had a really nice weekend here. There were lots of trails to hike, a cool waterfall and a longer hike down to the Allegheny River. The area is fairly secluded which was a big plus. Would definitely recommend.

We could have stayed for a few days to check out the bike trails and hiking, but alas, we only had one night at the farm. Would definitely stay again. A bit off the beaten path, and so worth it! We had such a wonderful stay here as a family (two kids & two dogs! The site itself is absolutely perfect - peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by rolling hills and nature. At night, the view of the stars was breathtaking, and during the day the beauty was just as striking. We loved the short hike to the waterfalls, complete with a natural swimming pool, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in my hammock over the creek with one of our dogs. The owners and their family were so kind and welcoming - they even invited our kids up to play with theirs when they stayed a night at the site above us. Truly good-hearted people! The site was affordable, close enough to Pittsburgh for us to get away without going far, yet still felt like an escape from the chaos of everyday life. We’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to share in this special place!

Absolutely loved our stay. The waterfall trail was a short walk away, and the field area was a nice size. The area was beautiful. We forgot a couple things, but thankfully there's a Dollar General about 18 minutes away.

I loved this camping spot! It was cozy, clean, private and peaceful!! There was a small crick behind the campsite. There were bathrooms! I got to see deer in the woods! The hosts were very welcoming. 10/10. Will most definitely be back.
