The Roller-Coaster Road Ranch offers many maintained trails, perfect for hiking. The property is mainly forested, but does contain numerous open spaces perfect for a rustic camping experience. The farm has a few large open fields that are plowed and planted seasonally. Various wildlife populates the area; whitetail deer, turkey, black bear, and bald eagles. A stocked trout stream passes through portions of the property and connects to a larger stream with many options for swimming, wading, and crayfish hunting. Many different campsites are available in various uniquely situated sites.

We are adjacent to the Kennerdell Tract Of Clear Creek State Forest which has miles of hiking and biking trails as well as the Allegheny River which provides fishing, boating, kayak/ canoeing opportunities. There is also The Allegheny River Trail which provides miles of paved bike trails. What we offer: We are not a campground and do not offer multi-night stays We are vandwellers when we are traveling. As such we understand the problems associated with finding a spot to overnight. We offer just that, a safe, quiet stop over for the night. The Nason Trust is a 4th generation owned outdoor enthusiasts haven tucked away on private land in the outskirts of the Allegheny National Forest. We offer primitive camping along with equestrian primitive camping. We have a dedication to preserving natural habitat, as well as the cooperative efforts of people with diverse interests in the outdoors to provide a positive recreational experience for all of our visitors. The Nason Trust is located by a significant amount of trail systems that traverses gorgeous, rocky, stream-filled trails that pass by remnants of Kellettville's boomtown. While guests get to enjoy the geology, elevation changes, with dramatic views while enjoying their favorite outdoor activities. Campers will have access to the North Country National Scenic Trail that is the longest in the national trail system it spans across 8 states from North Dakota to Vermont covering 4,800 miles. Minister Creek Trail is a short drive away. It's a moderately challenging hike that passes several outstanding rock outcroppings. After your hike you can drop by frog rock the local's favorite swimming hole that's along the same short drive back from Minister Creek trail back to the Nason Trust. Tionesta Creek and Salmon Creek are well stocked to lure in any avid fishermen. Along with another local gem; Ross Run's Habitat Improvement area it's a half mile set aside for Children 15 and under and people with Special needs giving them their very own special stocked fishing area.

We have just under 20 acres. You can drive right to the camp sites located about 700 foot behind the house. It is a peaceful setting over looking a pond, fishing is welcome. There is a pavilion and a playground. Kids and dogs are welcome. We are close to several local wineries and about 20 minutes from Lake Erie. Pymatuning Lake is 30 minutes away. Geneva on the Lake is about 30 minutes from us. We have a catch and release fishing pond. There are 8 sites, all pretty spaced out to give privacy and a relaxing experience. 2 of which are pretty secluded site 6 and site 8. Campsites 1, 2,4,5 and 7have a view of the pond. Site 3 is near a meadow and sits behind all the other sites. Sites 1,2,3,7 can be RV or tent sites. The pavilion adds a sense of comfort especially during rain days. We have corn hole , bocce ball and a few other relaxing games as well as a few card and board games for playing while enjoying the pavilion.

This campsite has been one of the best we’ve experienced through Hipcamp! There was tons of room for our pups to run, and we had the place entirely to ourselves. Todd was super great and met us at the campsite to give us more details about the property, which was much appreciated! And added bonus, the campsite had an outhouse/porta-potty!! Overall great experience and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!

We could have stayed for a few days to check out the bike trails and hiking, but alas, we only had one night at the farm. Would definitely stay again. A bit off the beaten path, and so worth it! Todd was awesome! He met us at the campsite and gave us a full walkthrough of the property and what to expect. The place itself is absolutely STUNNING. We went on a Sunday night and had the entire spot to ourselves, which made it feel even more special. There was plenty of firewood ready to use, multiple fire rings, and even a porta potty which made things super convenient. The property has streams and tons of beautiful areas to wander and explore, which our dogs absolutely loved. Couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience! We will definitely be coming back! 🌲🔥🐾

Really cool spot. Enough room for my entire family tree— would be a fun place to go with a large group. If you are planning to fish I would go in the spring, water level was very low and they only stock once a year so not much of a bite. Lots of 3-4 inchers on the fly though. Todd was great and met us there to show us around the site.

1 night at Roller-Coaster Road Ranch

TLDR: Todd is a great host, and the land is immaculate. The free firewood was a great benefit. It is extremely peaceful and feels safe, even for a solo camper. When I got there, Todd treated me well. He is a great guy and showed me around the property before sending me on my way. Other than the occasional car passing on the private dirt road nearby, nobody came by. The land is amazing, expect bugs and other creatures since it is on a creek, but it was way better than I was expecting. The sites themselves are amazing and you get to choose any site in your area. It is recommended that you have a 4WD car, since it is borderline off-roading. The free firewood was very nice and there was enough to last a good long time, even for a group. I would recommend still bringing your own though if it has rained recently, since the wood is out in the open. I am a solo camper and this spot felt very peaceful, safe, and there was plenty to do. Also, the roads are really cool around this area. :) Overall I highly recommend!

Todd was very helpful and complete with his walkthrough/instructions. Site was spacious and scenic. No toilet facility at Main Bridge, so be prepared for that. Todd provided plenty of firewood and fire ring. There are three levels spots at main bridge large enough for a pop-up, so you can situate to suit yourself. Very pleasant stay.
