I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now. I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”.

The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. Park in our large wrap-around driveway under our beautiful Ponderosa pines and fall asleep to the gorgeous view of the stars with no obnoxious streetlights. Don’t worry, we have a flood light and cameras to keep you and your stuff safe! Then wake up to the smell of our Juniper trees and watch our local group of mule deer grazing through the yard with views of Tumalo Mountain. Just across the street starts the Canal Trail that heads East and West. A 5 min bike ride East along the trail will take you to a Fred Meyer Grocery store, Starbucks, and much much more. Or take the Canal Trail West through the massive 123+ acres of forested public land that connects directly to the Deschutes River Trail (only 4 mins away). Once there, the outdoor activities are endless! Great fishing, bouldering, biking, swimming, rafting, and nature viewing spots are all within a couple minute walk from our home. Heading to the Old Mill or Hayden Homes Amphitheater for some shopping, a concert, restaurants, or drinks? It all starts 3/4 of a mile down the hill! If you’re viewing this posting, you probably already know all the amazing outdoor and sporting opportunities, entertainment, shopping, and eating that our beautiful town of Bend offers. If you’re still not sure, we’ll be right here to help you find the perfect spot to go! We’ll be continuing to add photos and facilities as time goes on to help better serve you. Established in 1963. The Vann family cabin was built by the Vann family. Third generation energy is steering this new endeavor. Important to note that the two sites are located about 30-40 feet apart. Each site has a private dock and fire pit. You are just minutes from the lakes and a great fire lookout hike. We have a private, single site located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Rainbow, Oregon. The campsite is near our home, but feels private. The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. There are also four restaurants, a food cart, golf course and a general store nearby.

Great camping spot! We showed up on a whim, booked a site, and had a nice night camping! The stars are mind blowing. The area is pretty sandy though, so be prepared for some cleanup afterwards. There was also a verrrry friendly kitty that came to say hi (and tried to go home with us) which added some fun to the evening.

We stayed in the Bunkhouse. The listing definitely undersells how beautiful this place is. Super spacious, well appointed kitchen, super comfy everything, awesome hot tub, and animal friends! When we weren't relaxing or staring at the stars while having a soak, we got to know the cute critters that call this place home. Bonnie is a fantastic host and I love that the proceeds from our stay went to the sanctuary. We will definitely be staying again.

Sandy and Tim’s tipi was so fun and it’s beautifully made! Inside, it’s spacious enough to setup camp and still stand and easily move around. The fire pit was worth it on a cold night as it easily kept us cozy and warm all night. The community space is thoughtfully setup with many resources. The tuxedo cat (unsure their name but we called them “Noodle”) joined us at the community space, then followed us back to the tipi. We were happy to have their companionship, but heads up in case that’s not your preference because it did sneak its way through the main zipper of the tent. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Hipcamp! The pictures show what you actually get! The camp was very clean and well maintained! There were tons of activities and amenities! Would be a great place to take the family camping! We had the whole campground to ourselves, it was very quiet and relaxing. We had our two dogs with us and it was very accommodating for them too! The campground cat even came for a few visits! You can tell that the hosts take a lot of pride in their campground and work hard to make it a safe place for all!

This site was easy to access from the highway. Maybe too easy since we could hear the cars and trucks from the highway, but it was not an overwhelming noise. Otherwise very clean, quiet, and just as the description said. There were only two other campers, I think, so no problems with the toilet capacity.
