We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests.  We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress. Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.   We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers.  We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy. Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper. There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon.. Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower. Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water. Aloha Remember, Pack in Pack out any and all trash. Also please Use designated compost areas of only compostable foods. No Meats or meat grease. This spot is perfect! Exactly as advertised. A ton of space, very clean & well kept property & camping space. We are avid backpackers so this felt like glamping with the shelter, platform, & lighting. A ton of wildlife (large flocks of wild turkeys + herds of deer, hawks, songbirds) & beautiful scenery. We took all 4 of our dogs for a quick overnight for my wife’s birthday & it was perfect for a chill, fun evening. Great short walking paths. Richard is very nice & welcoming! Would stay again :~)

A truly spectacular location: quiet, private, stunning scenery, wildlife, easy access to hiking and biking and so much more! This is the ideal hipcamp. Immaculately clean, exceptionally well equipped, and everything is done with quality in mind. I can't say enough good about every aspect of this treasure. It is truly a very special spot. Add to that a great host and the natural beauty of the McKenzie Bridge region, the McKenzie River, and the Willamette National Forest and you have a world class Hipcamp. Best I have stayed at, I highly recommend!

PSS- We did hear some neighbor dogs and some roosters, there were some Yellowjacket’s around, but these are things you expect when camping in rural Oregon!

Angela’s place is a quiet little oasis in the woods. There are only 4 camping spots, and we had the privilege of having the whole place to ourselves. Angie is a great host, fun to talk with and it’s obvious that she takes pride in her work around the place - from the painted signs to the clean porta pots! There is a central, communal area where (when allowed) a fire can be shared along with several lawn games. It’s minutes away from McKenzie Bridge General Store which serves good coffee, pastries and full meals. I’d love to return with friends to fill it up!

Where do I even begin about our experience!? I will start by saying we will never forget our stay at Angela’s site. We took our 2 young boys for their first real camping trip experience. It was totally last minute and I found through HipCamp, this beautiful site that seemed perfect for my family. And it turned out to be one of the best memories I have ever have with my little family. Angela made sure we were taken care of in every way. Not only did we walk away with the sweetest memories, we walked away with a new forever friend. It doesn’t take long as you walk around the site, to see how much love and care she puts into her property. The stay would not be complete without a touch of Angela and her humor, great conversation, accommodation and comfort. If you are looking for a safe place to travel with your spouse, family or even just alone, and looking for really good company (whether it’s Angela or the coolest people that this site attracts) this is the place to go to. We will be back for more memories as often as we can come. Thank you Angela, for everything!! Can’t wait to come back.

Best camping experience ever! We were spoiled with the serene, spacious beauty all around at Shelter at Castle Rock Farm. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the walks and visiting the fish pond on the property, too! Richard’s craftsmanship and respect for nature are evident throughout the well designed and equipped campsites. He generously upgraded us to the “Big Maple” site with an already set up large tent nestled under a beautiful tree. We had the place all to ourselves for the one night stay and wished to have stayed longer. Such a peaceful place to relax and unwind.

Loved the camp set up. It's in a thick wooden forest, with string lights that are timed to go off at quiet hours. Angela greeted us and was friendly and warm, Honeybucket Portopotties were super clean and even smelled like it wasn't used! One of our air mattresses popped and the wood chips we put our tent on was fine for my husband to sleep on. It was a 5 minute drive from the camp to the meeting place at Mckenzie Church for our Family White Water Rafting Trip! Great location for all the Mckenzie River Magic.
