We're happy to suggest guides for scheduled rafting trips. 38 miles to Big Lake. 36 miles to Hoodoo ski resort. 33 miles to Silver Creek Falls the largest state park in Oregon with over 9000 acres, over 24 miles of hiking trails, 10 waterfalls, horse trails and a 4-mile bike path. 33 miles to Marion Forks Fish Hatchery, 11 miles to 400-foot-deep Detroit Lake, 1 mile to a secluded fishing pond. 1.5 miles to epic hiking at Monument Peak with 12 miles of trails. Numerous trails are also close to your campsite. 3.6 miles to one of the best pizza places in Oregon. 3.2 miles to Rosie's Coffee House, which are famous for their scones, smoothies and coffee. Kid and animal friendly. We recommend animals be on a leash.

This property is located within walking distance of Mount Hood National Forest and within a fifteen minute drive of several lakes, rivers and even an Off Road vehicle area. All of our sites are "pull through" type sites and give you plenty of room to spread out. Each site has a fire pit to keep you warm while gazing at the amazing night sky. Even if you don't leave the property you will find plenty of things to do. Visit our pond (currently still under construction) to view wildlife, find a new trail, stargaze or just enjoy the peace and quiet. During the winter you can explore miles of backcountry roads on snowshoes or skies as we tend to be very near the snow line most of the winter. Old McDonald's Farm, Inc. utilizes Farm Program animals, agriculture, gardens and beautiful, natural resources to "teach and reach" children and youth. Learn more about this land:The camp sites are open to sun roughly 8am to 3pm Before it falls back behind the trees but those hours vary on the season a little. There’s one 21’ RV available for rent onsite (linens NOT provided) with power and water. Comfortably sleeps 4 but theirs room for up to two more RVs for dry-dockers if you can back in as there’s no pull through option. You may set up tent if you have a compost portable toilet. There a 12’x12’ Gazebo with picnic table for all campers to share, a designated fire pit and two playground structures for children to enjoy. The Ranch has Kunekune Pigs, various Goat breeds, Two alpaca, a couple Ducks and 50+ free range chickens, Couple rabbits, 4 farm cats and a Great Pyrenees (dog is a working live stock dog so she does bark at new people until she gains comfort but doesn’t bite. Dog and Cats roam the property. Other dogs are allowed if dog, and cat friendly as ours free range and friendly to other animals. Other animals are fenced. All the animals are friendly and can be petted and fed by visitors. There’s a seasonal spring flowing through the property. A young Orchard recently planted. Fresh Free Range Eggs available depending on the seasons (not typical during winter months). This is a small working farm and ranch with opportunities to learn and possibly harvest your own meet with assistance. The property is backed up to BML land, so unlimited hiking. We’re only 20 minutes from the top of the mountain and the ski resorts. No longer than 7 days stay so please don’t ask. $40 a night if you bring your own camper and dry dock. A few years ago Chandler sold a large portion of his company and we purchased our rustic log cabin. We love the idea of sharing our peaceful cabin and property with the world! We recently decide to put our primary home on the site, to allow us to catch up on our debt. We are so thankful that both our places are loved by our guests. Hood and Zig Zag wilderness views all around. Only 3.3 miles from highway 26. The property is horse trailer accessible.
