The property has several oil sites and it does have cattle, however, it has largely been untouched since the 1970s, meaning we have old growth and new growth for trees and natural habitat for wildlife. This property has been in the family for almost 5 generations and we are working to rebuild after nearly 50 years of no activity. From my covered front porch I can hear owls, coyotes, hawks and other birds while watching deer munching in the open meadow. The property has three low water level ponds, meaning no fish - but the opportunity to hike, bike, horseback ride or UTV into and out of the creek(s). Up and down rolling hills. Watch a thunderstorm roll over the horizon while watching lightning from miles away. Enjoy stargazing and naming that constellation. The ponds do not have fish, but we are going to be stocking them within the next year. There are plenty of open spaces or covered (by trees) spaces to camp. We are working to restore the property including rebuilding several structures that were destroyed in the May 3rd, 1999 tornado. We loved staying at Corley’s spot! The amenities exceeded expectations and it was such a relaxing way to rest our heads after a long drive. We opted for the furnished tent with A/C and it was very affordable and neatly kept. The bathroom and shower was such a great perk!! Corley was also very communicative and flexible with our arrival time, as well as accommodating our dog too, who had the best time. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you can. We would love to come back! :)

Weekend Trip to Moon Grove

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our first glamping experience, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The property was incredibly easy to find, with clear directions and no trouble getting there. The provided tent was cozy and thoughtfully set up — with a heater, AC, a comfortable bed, and even a heated blanket. Little touches like books, board games, and a firepit with a grill made it feel extra special. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful — clean, spacious, and having a hot shower while also experiencing nature was such a luxury. The property itself is peaceful and stunning, especially under the stars at night. They had a sweet dog on-site who didn’t pay any mind to our dog, which made the stay even more relaxing. It was such a magical, cozy experience — we can’t recommend it enough and would absolutely love to come back!
