Weekend Trip to Morning Light Mountain Lodge

Great spot for a weekend getaway. The cabin has everything you'd need from cooking oil to utensils. You can stop at the grocery store, grab some food and head down and not need anything else to have a great time.

Fantastic spot. I’m a female solo traveler and I felt safe and the directions to the site were very clear. Hosts are quick to respond. The bathrooms & showers were very clean and well looked after. The view of the lake with the moon rise was stunning! 10/10 would recommend.

We have several beautiful hiking trails and two breathtaking vistas at which to gaze at the picturesque mountains in the distance. “Meandering Trail” takes you to where the property borders the gigantic Ouachita National Forest. Keep going if you please. It’s 1.8 Million acres of wilderness made just for you! A true hunters paradise teeming with deer and other wildlife. Just pray you have enough disk space on your camera!
