The site was huge and pristine! The weather was not ideal for us novice campers, however, and we cut our trip a day short. But the location was wonderful, and the site was lovely, and the portapotty was very convenient. We will definitely consider returning in the spring with a better tent 😉

Perfect place for car camping and exploring the Hocking Hills region! Had no problem getting to our site even with slightly balded tires and some mud. Lovely property with towering hills surrounding you. In early November there wasn’t much foliage and so you can see the house and the other campsites but we were the only ones so it was no problem. Great fire ring, picnic table, and a nice love seat rocking bench. Was able to get WiFi by walking up near the house and the property was peaceful without any commotion! Our animals loved it too and really wanted to explore the hills and trails.

I spent 3 nights at Campsite #2 and my only wish is that it had been longer! The land is near some main roads but there's no intrusive traffic noise. This location is perfect for its proximity to amazing state and regional parks (check out Conkles Hollow, seriously under-appreciated beauty). Margie and Todd are excellent hosts and they've done so much to bring small perks to otherwise primitive camping experience. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

First off, communication was great from the start. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by Margie’s husband and their adorable dog. The property is really pretty. Not really remote but definitely had a feeling of enough privacy. We had our tiny teardrop trailer and stayed at Site #1 at the very front of the property. We would definitely stay here again if needing to be really close to all the trails in the Hocking Hills region.

Site 3 on the Ridge was great! We wanted a private spot to camp with our kids where we wouldn’t be disturbed by neighboring sites, etc and this was great. Beautiful and quiet. The host was also gracious enough to come up and jump our car early in the morning after the kids left a light on all night!

We lost access to stuff like this with Airbnb not hosting tent campsites anymore, Hipcamp sure makes it easy! We found the perfect site for the 2 of us. Site 4 was STEEP to get up so make sure you have a 4x4-it was fun for us. Quiet, secluded, and 12 mins to pretty much everything around. Definitely will be coming back!

This is our second time here and we had a great time. It wide awake pretty and quiet. Mostly secluded but not completely - other campsite within earshot and view so keep that in mind. Had WiFi but only worked if you walked down to the main house area. Nice that it has a real toilet, a place to wash dishes and a shower area.

My Fiancée and I loved tent camping with Margie!! I’ll start off by saying 4WD is absolutely required when she said it’s required, do not be like me and think otherwise. Thankfully Todd was kind enough to lend us a truck in order to get up to our site. Once you make it up, Site 3 is well worth the sketchy drive. It’s truly an ideal place to be immersed in nature. You are surrounded by trees but not completely enclosed so the stars above are still visible and we loved keeping our canopy off to sleep under the stars. You can tell the family puts a lot of effort into maintaining the campsite and general areas like bathrooms and showers. The shower was AMAZING to get refreshed and the hot water was plentiful. This getaway felt like camping on our families land. The atmosphere at base camp was very inviting and we loved seeing all the kids playing and having the best time. They provided firewood up at camp for us which was great not have to go back down. A very beautiful place with the best hosts, we can’t wait to come back and highly recommend it!!

Margie was such an awesome host; she went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She was also very accessible, but we still felt like we were basically camping by ourselves on the hillside. It was so relaxing and quiet at night to sleep under the stars and trees. The trek up the hill def required AWD but it wasn’t anything too crazy. The site is also very close to many of the great hocking hills hikes. Would def stay again!
