What a beautiful farm to camp at! My 8 year old daughter and I had such a lovely time in the A Frame exploring the wildlife trails, hanging out with the koi fish, the chickens and Aimee! Everything is so well thought out and obviously a lot of care has gone into this property, it’s absolutely magical, we can’t wait to return!

We had the best time at Esther’s camp! It had everything you needed and more. We loved the pond and hot tub. There was a problem with the hot tub before we arrived and Esther was quick to let us know and offered reimbursement. Much appreciated ☺️ The beds were comfortable. The air conditioner kept it nice and cool. It was so quiet and peaceful sitting around the fire at night listening to the sounds of nature. We will definitely be back if ever in Ohio again.

4 nights at EJT Retreat

The drive up to the cabin was a bit tricky. I was a little worried the first time up the hill in the car. But let me tell you, once we were up the hill, it was our little place of solitude for the week. The pond was my daughter’s favorite! So many frog and toad sounds at night. So fun. Fire pit and hot tub were also a huge bonus. The bed was very nice, we didn’t attempt to raise it at all; we just left it for our trip but it was the perfect little cabin for us. Esther was extremely attentive with anything I needed during our stay or any questions I had. Brent even surprised us with some fire wood one day. They were very thoughtful! We would absolutely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Rustic Treehouse In Hocking Hills

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at the Rustic Treehouse. We spent the long holiday weekend enjoying the hot tub, Blackstone griddle, fire pit, pickle ball court, and just hanging out inside streaming a movie on the 100" projection screen. Communication with Jenni was always pleasant, and she quickly responded to any questions that I had. The place was very clean and cozy. I highly recommend staying here.

absolutely no confusion or issues what so ever, we went straight to our campsite, got set up, and were briefly greeted by the host later in the day. beautiful land, and plenty of space and locations to choose from within the farm. would definitely recommend this location whether your staying one night or multiple! When it was time for us too leave there was absolutely no rush or sense of urgency given by the host, i might come again tbh.

We had are great stay at Woody Acres! It rained a bit so we were happy to have a dry place to hang out. The camper and outdoor kitchen were clean and we had everything we needed. The privy was clean and well maintained as well. It’s obvious that the hosts put so much love and care into their land. They were so kind and even helped us get our fire started. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Very private with good views of the lake. The only downfall being the thick vegetation making it hard to fish the lake and use the boat provided. Watch for snakes!

A very decent spot to tent camp, especially considering the price. It’s certainly primitive, but that’s part of the adventure! Host is very kind as well. I would definitely recommend trying this spot out! We loved getting to take out the row boat, catch baby frogs, and cook over the campfire.

We had an excellent time! Even though it rained a lot, the property is gorgeous and our site (site 2) is situated in a great spot with lots of privacy. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to EJT Retreat

We took a mother/daughter trip for our stay. We had the most amazing time! The pond for swimming is perfect with the deck to hang out and cool off during the hot day. At night we got in the hot tub and had a nice fire for s'more. The cabin was cozy and perfect for the 4 of us. They provided so many extra items like camping chairs, towels fire starters, bug spray, sunblock, and many more things. The drive way was a little crazy getting up in my mini van but with a running start it was fine. We was laughing so much about the adventure of getting up it. I would definitely want to drive my truck with 4 wheel drive in the winter to get to it. We are planning our next trip already to go back. We will also be taking our kids there for a weekend adventure. Thank you all so much for a great place to stay and make memories!

2 nights at Woody Acres

We really enjoyed our getaway at Woody Acres. The bus was well equipped and very comfortable. It was a hot weekend so we brought an ez up tent for shade and it worked out great. Beautiful property and will definitely go back to visit. They had the nicest Privy which my daughter was very happy about. Thank you Kate and Austin for sharing your little slice of peacefulness with us.

3 nights at EJT Retreat

Loved the cabin. Had a good time exploring to trails. I picked a bad week due to the heat and the ac just couldn't keep up. It was over 95 outside each day.

Folks, book it! Fruitdale Farms is the ideal spot for tent camping or enjoying quiet nights in one of their wonderful cabins on the property. There's solid trails, a refreshing pond to take a dip, a beautiful stream, along with plenty of shade in the woods. You will be kindly welcomed. It's an 11 outta 10!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was extremely clean and had a great big front porch surrounded by trees! William was very nice and helpful, we highly recommend you stay any one of the cabins!

Come stay at our little sustainable farmstead amid the beautiful rolling hills of southern Ohio! Our peaceful 20 acres has a good mix of woods, wild meadows and maintained cleared areas as well as a small pond, all of which can be explored via our nature trail. Enjoy the sounds of nature and an incredible night sky. Farm fresh eggs and fresh produce are available for purchase during the growing season and firewood is available all year round. There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved. Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound. Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1). ***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

The Lake at the Flying J Farm

The Flying J Farm is 250 beautiful rolling acres including 100 acres of forest, 6-acre lake small pond, three streams, and numerous fields for crops and pastures with cows. The owner bought the farm in 1998 for his retirement from a faculty position at the Ohio State university. Two buildings, the farm house and old barn, are original dating back to 1831. These have been restored for current use. The mission of the farm is to restore health both in people though the products produced and in the land by farming in a sustainable way with no conventional chemicals, antibiotics, and use of GMO. We host many visitors including tours and events. An on farm market is available to visitors for purchase of our products including grass-fed beef, maple syrup, and fruits and vegetables. The cabin was built using wood from the farm. It has off-grid electricity meaning it is powered by batteries charged by solar panels. There is not sufficient power for devices with a heating element such as coffee makers and hair dryers. You may charge cell phones. For any other use, please check with the owner. Wild Life. There is an abundance of wildlife to be observed on the farm. Deer can be seen at dusk, raccoons can be seen going through your camp food at night (if you put it in your car), turkeys, hawks, vultures, rabbits, coyotes (heard screaming at night), frogs (especially heard at night), fish (jumping), and many song birds (my favorite, the bobolink, May and June only, nesting in the pastures). Trash. This sustainable farm has no garbage hauling, please carry away your trash.
