Come stay at our little sustainable farmstead amid the beautiful rolling hills of southern Ohio! Our peaceful 20 acres has a good mix of woods, wild meadows and maintained cleared areas as well as a small pond, all of which can be explored via our nature trail. Enjoy the sounds of nature and an incredible night sky. FIREWOOD and seasonal farm goods are available for purchase at a self-serve stand (several payment options available). There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved (go to sauna to reserve a time). Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound. Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1). ***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

Our family stayed in the Juniper trees area at Camp 4. We found this site to be quite private, protected from any wind and it felt like our own space. The grounds are kept quite nice and appreciated the well water access. The homemade goods for purchase were a great little surprise also. The pond and chickens kept our daughter entertained and the nearby hikes in Rocky Fork Gorge we pretty impressive. Loved the no fuss check in and check out. We will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm

If you love camping you will live Fruitdale Farm! The campsite was super nice, enough away from others to feel private, and close enough to the bathrooms. We stayed at site 5 and loved it. The little farm stand was really nice, the garden is amazing and we loved the Sunday morning sauna session while it rained outside.. I totally recommend this place and will be back again!

We loved Fruitdale Farm! The property is well maintained and very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting in the sauna in the evening and enjoyed sitting by the pond with our coffee in the morning. It was a great one night getaway for us!

Fruitdale farm was fantastic. The site (Site 3) was perfectly secluded in a grove, with ample tent space and close to privy and unloading/ loading area. The whole site was just beautiful for kiddos to run around and check out fish in the pond, gardens, chickens, and the trails. We had such a great time and can't wait to go back.

This was the perfect place to camp while hiking in the area! Campsite #2 felt very private and secluded and was a great spot for both hammock and tent camping.

This cozy a-frame cabin has a full-sized bed with a comfy memory foam mattress. Clean bedding provided.

What a perfect spot and perfect stay! It felt like a quiet and secret hideaway and yet everything that I needed was so easily accessible, including local hikes, attractions, and her farm stand. She has thought of many little touches that help guests feel welcome and the stay cozy and comfortable. I hope to return soon!

We loved our stay at the Little Fern Cabin for a glamping getaway for our 16th Anniversary. The kitchen was great to prepare our own food and the porch offered a private spot to eat while listening to the birds. We loved exploring the property and would love to come back with our four kids at one of the tent camping sites in the future.

This was such a cute little camping area! The camping sites were decently spread apart and we loved the little farmstead by the firewood. It was also super convenient to be at site 2 near the privy and you guys did great with all the little signs to tell you where to navigate to! Unfortunately I didn't have time to try out the sauna since we got there later than expected but we would definitely consider staying there again for our ohio vacation!

Such a cute and unique place! I originally got Hipcamp to find some places for tent camping but thought the cabin was too cute. We loved the whole set up and farm. It’s private and well cared for. We loved the veggie and produce stand by the firewood. We also had a lovely farm cat stay with us for the second evening which was adorable. We are not afraid of bugs and spend most weekends camping but there were definitely a surplus of stink bugs in the cabin which made me a bit meh, mostly they were present in the daytime so not terrible at night. Guessing just a seasonal thing but definitely something to consider if you’re weird with bugs. Otherwise, everything was perfect!!

This campsite was wonderful. It felt like a whole park with only 6 (or so) campsites and cabins. The thoughtful walking trails provided a lot of peace. At night, it feels very private. You can certainly hear the other campers, but way less so than at a state park, and you definitely don't feel like you're on top of another group. The privies were very nice, and the farm stand was a great boost to the stay. I would advise that the walk to the campsites (while beautiful) does involve going up and down a decent hill, so wagon steering is a factor! Overall, 99/100! Absolutely our favorite campground we have ever been to.

Fruitdale Farm was super cute! It was easy to find and remote enough to still feel isolated. It was close enough to great fishing sites and hiking trails. The firewood bundles were easy and convenient at this location as they are RIGHT there. The trees at this site were perfect for our hammock and really a great place to set up. My only complaint is that we could see another campsite from our site ( we were at site 3). I wish we couldn't have seen/heard them so well especially because they were a big group ( if it was a couple like us- I don't think it would have been as bad), so next time we will probably pick a different site at Fruitdale to avoid this! Just something to consider when picking which site at Fruitdale Farms to choose, but definitely check this place out - it's adorable!

Absolutely amazing 12/10 recommend! We loved the location of camp #2 and would stay there again. With a short walk to accessible water, right around the corner from the privy, and purchasing extra wood and goodies at the farm stand! Such a treat! The grounds were so beautiful and our time spent at Fruitdale Farm was extremely relaxing and peaceful, just what we needed! Aimee was very attentive and responsive when messaging with any needs, such a delight! Thanks so much for everything, we truly enjoyed our stay, and can’t wait to come back again!
