We have always enjoyed quiet secluded campsites, river floats and sitting by the river. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views. My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John and a list of dump stations nearby. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Valle View Camp Spot! A flat and private spot. Praise Be! Quiet area of Valle Crucis. It is just 2 miles from the original Mast General Store. Larger units must back in carefully between the guard rail and the ditch. The lot had some damage from Helene. This is a parking lot of an old church and sits by two small creeks. Maximum stays are up to 6 nights. No water, no septic. No generators are allowed.  Large concrete pad/parking lot for RV and an extra car or two. This is a campsite only, an RV is not included. We have electricity but no water or septic.  In the spring, summer, and fall - We have a toilet and hand-washing sink inside the building that you may use if you select this as an "add-on". A code to enter the building will be sent if you add this feature. This site does not have potable water and does not have a shower. The closest public bathrooms are at Valle Crucis Community Park. Mountain Dog Coffee and Holloway Corner Kitchen are private, but good places to start your day with coffee and/or food. Please respect our neighbors by limiting noise. This lot is private, but you may see or hear the neighbors. Dogs must always be on a leash when outside your RV or car.  There are no garbage cans or trash pick-up; pack it out, please. The trash/convenience center is about 2 miles away on 194 for you to take your garbage.  We DO NOT advise taking Clarks Creek Rd. from 105 to get to this location. You must travel to Clarks Creek through Valle Crucis via 194. You must also detach any trailer or towed items a mile or so before the camp spot and before the switchbacks. Please view the map and be comfortable with travel to our campsite. There are sections of the road with no shoulder and pit holes due to current construction/road work. There is very limited cellular service in this area. WiFi & WiFi calling should work fine. --- We have a 50 AMP Hookup NO water NO septic. If you have 2 cars, trucks or RVs in the same group you may add them on as another unit. Grandfather Mountain Campground on 105 allows non-guests to use their dump station for a fee. The trash/convenience center is about 2 miles away on 194 for you to take your garbage. Take the trash there before hooking up and leaving as that section of 194 has a large truck warning.

My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Wiseman Ridge is a boutique micro campground for RVs only, first opened in July of 2022. Our property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville Falls NC with easy access off NC 221. We offer 5 full hook up RV sites with views of Hawksbill, Table Rock and Humpback Mountains. Micro means we have only a handful of sites but that is where micro ends. Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. Unlike typical RV parks our sites are spread out on the ridge top and offer great views and lots of space. Our campground offers a unique camping experience for the RV and outdoors enthusiast. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits. Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. We are just a mile down the parkway from the entrance to the Linville Falls parking lot and picnic area, and 2 miles from Kistler Memorial Highway (Old NC 105) that provides access to the western rim of Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads. Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. We do not have bathroom or bathhouse facilities so we cannot allow campers that do not have a self contained bathroom that can hook up to a conventional RV sewer drain and no human waste is allowed in our trash receptacles. Valle View Camp Spot! A flat and private spot. Praise Be! Quiet area of Valle Crucis. It is just 2 miles from the original Mast General Store. Larger units must back in carefully between the guard rail and the ditch. The lot had some damage from Helene. This is a parking lot of an old church and sits by two small creeks. Maximum stays are up to 6 nights. No water, no septic. No generators are allowed.  Large concrete pad/parking lot for RV and an extra car or two. This is a campsite only, an RV is not included. We have electricity but no water or septic.  In the spring, summer, and fall - We have a toilet and hand-washing sink inside the building that you may use if you select this as an "add-on". A code to enter the building will be sent if you add this feature. This site does not have potable water and does not have a shower. The closest public bathrooms are at Valle Crucis Community Park. Mountain Dog Coffee and Holloway Corner Kitchen are private, but good places to start your day with coffee and/or food. Please respect our neighbors by limiting noise. This lot is private, but you may see or hear the neighbors. Dogs must always be on a leash when outside your RV or car.  There are no garbage cans or trash pick-up; pack it out, please. The trash/convenience center is about 2 miles away on 194 for you to take your garbage.  We DO NOT advise taking Clarks Creek Rd. from 105 to get to this location. You must travel to Clarks Creek through Valle Crucis via 194. You must also detach any trailer or towed items a mile or so before the camp spot and before the switchbacks. Please view the map and be comfortable with travel to our campsite. There are sections of the road with no shoulder and pit holes due to current construction/road work. There is very limited cellular service in this area. WiFi & WiFi calling should work fine. --- We have a 50 AMP Hookup NO water NO septic. If you have 2 cars, trucks or RVs in the same group you may add them on as another unit. Grandfather Mountain Campground on 105 allows non-guests to use their dump station for a fee. The trash/convenience center is about 2 miles away on 194 for you to take your garbage. Take the trash there before hooking up and leaving as that section of 194 has a large truck warning.

For those not accustomed to mountain travel or new drivers please know that travel off NC 18 on the state road is a typical two lane paved mountain road with curves, some of which will require you to swing wide, a couple of areas of moderate incline but that does not exceed 8%, a short state maintained gapped section of gravel and an occasional low hanging branch. At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Had a quick 1 night stay, last minute trip. Had a quick response to accept our reservation. Site 4 was perfect, easy to access, power and water on site. Great for our Sylvan GO popup. Roy greeted us on arrival and showed us around. He brought a nice size stack of firewood. He also borrowed us a 30A -> 110 adapter so we could plug an extension cord in. We enjoyed the visit in the morning from the donkey and cows. Beautiful property, great hosts, we'll stop back next year.

Rose Creek was a great spot on the creek, which included the perfect balance of seclusion and civilization. It was a great spot for my toddler and two dogs to explore. Thomas was a great host and had little odds and ends to make the trip easier, including a heated hose as temps dipped into the teens at night. Would definitely recommend and plan to come back!

Great for the family! We enjoyed the amenities but also being close to hiking which our family loves. The red trail on the campground was fun even with all the down trees (the kids thought of it as ninja obstacles!). We will be back again!

10/9/2024 NOTICE: We had some damage to our road due to Hurricane Helene that made it impassable. It has since been repaired and is opened to traffic. There are still some remaining rough areas, but the road is easily passable by passenger vehicles and RV's up to 28ft. Our site was once part of a much larger farm growing tobacco and raising cattle and other farm animals. The existing tobacco barn was built in the early 1960's. The concrete pad used for RV camping was used to store silage for the cows. The non-potable water source is a mountain spring that has been used on the farm since the 1930's. While many tobacco barns in the area have been torn down for their rusted tin roofing and rustic siding, we have worked to restore the barn and preserve its history.

Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bin is nearby, which is a great asset in any weather. A fire pit and chairs are a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. Visit the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce online or downtown for information on our county’s many attractions and events.

The site is accessed through an almost entirely flat hayfield via a mowed trail that is easily accessible throughout the year via a 23-foot-wide entrance, except for during extreme wet weather. Nearby tourist attractions include: The Chapel of Rest, The Patterson School, Fort Defiance, the Happy Valley Filling Station, and much more with Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway being on 15 minutes away.
