Originally built in the 1920's for early visitors, the Rustic Log Cabins are one of the oldest lodging establishments in the area. All four of our cabins have a great farmers porch on which to relax and enjoy your favorite local wine or beer and watch gorgeous sunsets over Seneca Lake. Afterwards sit by your own fire pit and enjoy a quiet and starry evening - a feature of cabin life that our guests tell us brings them back year after year. The cabins are situated on three beautiful park-like acres with plenty of room for games of all kinds. The view from the grounds takes in an apple orchard, rolling vineyards and Seneca Lake - a perfect setting for a small wedding or reunion if you rent all four cabins. Built of whole pine logs all four are spacious one-room cabins with electricity, hardwood floors and stone fireplaces. The cabins are equipped with table, chairs, comfortable beds, dressers, stove and fridge. Two of the cabins will accommodate three persons and the other two will accommodate up to 6 people. A Bath House in the center of the campsite is convenient to all four cabins and contains a separate mens and women section with showers, toilets and sinks. Thanks for having us!! I must say your cabin was perfect! Secluded and no neighbors, much room for the dogs to run on your private, well maintained property! The cabin was extremelyclean and spacious. The wifi worked great and the big TV came in handy for the rainy day. We couldn't have asked for a cozier place to stay. We have paid more in the past for much less in other states. We can't wait to be back and enjoy the summer swims at the natural pool nearby. Thankyou for being an awesome host!! -Nick and Jessi

Weekend Trip to The Spotted Sandpiper

Spent 3 nights in Glamp 1 in October of 2025. It was 40s at night and rained 2 of the nights, but we stayed warm with the heater (and an electric blanket we brought)! It was dry inside the tent despite the rain. Area is beautiful. Due to weather, didn't spend any time on the lake, but did make use of the shower areas, which worked well - hot water and shower/bathroom walkable from Glamp 1. Kate answered all questions before and during the stay. Shampoo/conditioner and towels provided. Great affordable glamping experience!!

We had the best time at the cabins! Clean spacious and quaint. Jackie’s a wonderful host! We can’t wait to return. The only down side was being so close to the road. (There are cabins further back though!)

We loved glamping at Spotted Sandpiper! We had all of the necessities and more at our tent site. You can’t beat the view of Lake Cayuga—we loved going down to the dock for sunset every night. It’s also very close to Taughannock State Park and a short drive from Ithaca.

I loved tent camping at the spotted sandpiper. The tent was comfortable and had everything we needed. I especially loved they had so many things we could use on the water…kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, floats, and the lake was beautiful! I would def stay here again.

4 nights at Rustic Log Cabins Overlooking Senec

We had a great stay - the cabins are centrally located for most hikes, only 30 mins from Ithaca 40 mins from Corning. The cabin was spacious, had very comfortable beds, fans and other helpful amenities. The bathrooms are quite nice too. Jackie was a good host, met us at the start and even lent us a few of her own kitchen supplies so we could make eggs and breakfast. Know that you should bring your own grill and cooking supplies, and chairs for around the fire if you want. It’s right off a somewhat busy road and you can hear car’s, but we slept well. We would definitely return.

The glamping tents were beautiful, well stocked and way beyond what I was expecting. Fresh towels, a day bed with trundle, TV, fridge, the works. Wonderful amenities, especially for the price! Easy and beautiful lake access, and access to kayaks and canoe. Check-in and check out was really simple, and directions clear. Welcoming, friendly, beautiful and peaceful.

I love everything about this place! This was my third visit, and it has truly become my home away from home. I’ve been there in the fall, spring, and summer, and I'm always amazed at how quiet it is despite the expansive property. Jordan, the owner, goes above and beyond to help us with any last-minute issues or requests. Sam is also quick to assist with anything we need. I love all things rustic, so this place is perfect for me! I'm looking forward to coming back in the fall and winter this year. My family absolutely adores this hidden gem!
