Located in the Connecticut River Valley, our property is surrounded by hundreds of acres of hiking trails, just a short drive to the beautiful Connecticut River, and offers all the accommodations needed to make your Connecticut glamping experience the most memorable yet.
Our campsite is perfect for individuals, couples, or large groups. The camp features a small bunkhouse with four twin-size beds, cleared forest areas that can accommodate up to ten 2–4 person tents, an outdoor kitchenette (full-size refrigerator, granite countertops, sink, and power), a well-appointed outhouse with running water, and an outdoor shower just a short walk from camp. For an additional fee, guests may also enjoy an in-ground natural hot tub to soak under the stars.
You may never want to leave the forest!
Without having to drive, you'll be able to access multiple hiking trails such as Roaring Brook Nature Preserve, Sheepskin Hollow Preserve, and Hatch Lot.

We are located just 8 minutes from the Goodspeed Opera House in historic downtown East Haddam, right on the Connecticut River. Gillette Castle is a must-see, just a 5-minute drive away. Or take a trip across the river on the Hadlyme–Chester Ferry and land in scenic Chester Village, a small but vibrant New England town known for its art scene and fine dining.
Kayaks are available to rent if you're feeling adventurous. If you're looking to visit the ocean, you're not far from the beautiful shores of Old Lyme, Niantic, and Old Saybrook—each about a 25-minute drive to the Atlantic coast.

Come stay on our working farm!
Relax and enjoy all that our farm has to offer. You can enjoy nature and privacy or opt for a more interactive experience and join our morning or evening farm tour where you can interact with goats, sheep, mini-horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, and more.
We are a small family farm where we raise animals and grow flowers/food. Our family home was built in 1739 and is situated near the street entrance.
As you enter the property, you will see two cottages, the oldest corn crib in the county, and a beautifully restored 1800s barn. There is a vintage-style camper to the left of the barn, located in an area where you can have privacy overlooking the pastures.
We live on the property and can assist guests with anything that they might need.
Guests are welcome to stroll around the property and enjoy all it has to offer. We have a farm store and education center opening summer of 2025! Check our website to see classes and offerings that you might take advantage of during your stay.
Please note, that we ask that guests do not enter the barn or fenced pasture without one of the farm owners (Molly & Diego). Our animals are accustomed to people, but livestock is unpredictable, especially to people that they do not know. There is plenty of area outside of the pasture that guests can enjoy. If you opt for a farm tour we promise that you will have plenty of interaction with our many animals.

My family had a WONDERFUL stay at Two Herons Farm! Our baby daughter was delighted to interact with the sheep, goats, ponies, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, cat, and more!!! The farm was a great store with cool, local gifts. The cabin was really comfortable and private. The hosts, Molly and Diego, were incredibly generous and helpful. We were fortunate to tag along with Diego while he feed various animals, felt like a cool behind-the-scenes tour. We've stayed in dozens of Airbnbs/Hipcamps over the years, and this was by far our favorite. Highly recommend!!!

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm
We loved every moment of our stay/experience, but our favorite part was definitely doing an evening tour of the farm. Molly and Diego were fantastic hosts and so generous with their time despite their busy schedules. The animals are so comfortable around people, a true testament to the great care they are receiving. The farm store was also lovely!
I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the chance to go. I’ve already booked a second visit!
