Welcome to Firefly Aces where our land offers beautiful views of the valley and "Enchanted Mountains" by day and star filled skies at night. If you look long enough, you may even see some shooting stars. The property is 93 acres and offers well manicured hiking trails that can even be used for Mountain Biking enthusiasts. Wild animals such as deer, raccoons, fox, owls, hawks, humming birds, bald eagles and more have made the land their home. Fireflies tend to take over in the summer months, its a beautiful thing to see. It's the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature all while being close to restaurants and downtown Olean if needed. Enjoy cooking on our rustic fire pits or light a fire to just enjoy the crackling sounds and warmth at night. A safe place for kids to run around, enjoy family time and the simple pleasures Mother Nature has to offer. It's perfect for anyone who just wants to get away and immerse themselves in the country. We have 2 camp sites ready right now both come with a fire pit. One is more secluded which is campsite #2 and the one with the valley view is campsite #1. Showers are seasonal. The last day for shower use is Oct 15th. You’re more than welcome to bring your own portable shower hook up and use the shower house for privacy. We apologize for any inconvenience. You will need to have a cigarette lighter access to use the shower to power the pump. We recommend bringing flashlights as our property is solar powered and there is no electric on the property. On low sunny days, solar lights may not last as long into the evening. On rainy days the property can be very muddy and access to the top of the hill to the sites would be best accessed with a 4WD vehicle as well as winter time with snow on the ground. If you'd like to charge your phone we advise you to bring back up battery packs as there is now electric hook ups on site. The most private sites are Cloud 9, Bunny Pit and Lilou's Landing. The cottage is located down by the main house and not at the top of the hill. Pets are welcome, please clean up after your dog. * No firearms or explosive devices of any kind are allowed on the property.

Lose yourself here, or maybe find yourself, among the Hemlocks. First, a bit about the terrain. There is much in the way of forest, very mature, and a broad array of plant species. Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Stergelandia. We stayed in the Gumdrop cabin which was decorated beautifully and peacefully with colorful tapestries and pillows. Despite it being chilly out we were able to sleep comfortably with extra blankets and some hand warmers. It rained one morning and watching/hearing it fall on the plexiglass wall was amazingly beautiful. We enjoyed the observation deck and took a short hike. We made a cozy fire and used the cooking gear provided to make a nice dinner. We cannot wait for our film to be developed as every part of this trip was stunning. We will definitely be back, Jennifer was a great host and has made a beautiful nature oasis on her land.

Weekend Trip to Campground Adventures

The hosts were so wonderful to chat with and very welcoming! The campground was amazing, from the expansive sites complete with water and power hookups (if needed) to the many various glamping sites. It is an eclectic mix of fun for everyone! The little store in the trolly was super cute. This place has it all. I would definitely recommend this place for family gatherings or the solo adventurer.

We stayed at The Quarry in our 32 foot Class A motorhome - Neil was very responsive and made sure that we were settled in. He gave us our choice of sites with electric and even helped us set up the internet to watch the Bills game! Our site had electric and we filled up with water at a spigot very close to where we parked. There is a very nice womens/mens bathroom close to our site with two tiled showers each which we used. The weather was great during our stay and scenery beautiful with ponds complete with ducks and geese. Our dogs loved the many fields and trails to walk. We look forward to staying again - thanks Neil!

Our group had the best time at this campground. Absolutely no complaints! The hosts were friendly. The sites were very spacious and flat, great for tents or RVs! This would be a great spot for newer campers with the extra accommodations, games, and kitchen amenities. Bathrooms, outhouse, and showers were very clean. Great spot for birdwatching and stargazing as well. We have stayed at many Hipcamps and State Parks but this was our favorite so far. We will be coming back next year!

This was hands down the best Hipcamp I’ve been to in a long while. So clean, so peaceful, so beautiful. Just perfect. It looks like a golf course, it’s so well kept. I didn’t have any neighbors during my stay so even better lol. The nearby town is adorable and it’s sooo close to the eternal flame (thanks Neil for letting me know!)

7 nights at Mission Hemlock Grove

I wound up staying at Mission Hemlock Grove for 2 weeks in early September while my truck was getting transmission work. I had to make several day trips to Rochester and always felt safe leaving my belongings behind at site 1. There are some interesting trails and sights on the property including abandoned Christian grottos. I met some other very nice campers during my stay but always felt like I had plenty of privacy. Korey was very responsive from my experience. I’d recommend this property to someone who is boondock ready
