As we're off-grid, lanterns and flashlights are strongly encouraged for navigating the darkness. A porta-potty is conveniently located nearby. We have a few essentials at our on-site store, offering charcoal, eggs, snack foods, drinks, and more. Keep in mind that the nearest gas station is 75 minutes away, and cell service can be intermittent. Please arrive before sunset, as the roads leading to the property are dark and isolated, and be prepared for loose gravel that may affect your vehicle. Property is made up of 8 acres - several mobile homes and old outbuildings are on one side - the other side is set up for animals - some nice level areas with a few trees, further along the propery there is a hilly area good for tents or vans that overlooks the mora river - many areas to camp and are secluded. Quiet valley area - we do have cows, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs so there are animal noises around - the amtrack train comes by about 3x per day - we wave at the folks - we do have apple/pear/peach trees on site - if the mora river is good we can kayak a bit or take them to a lake nearby. We milk the goats seasonally so now thru sept or so - fresh eggs are usually available - a cook out area is set up with a grill/smoker tables available - water is onsite - still working on other amenities - porta potty or similar available.

If you suffer from nature deficit disorder or need some digital detoxing, this is the place for you DIRECTIONS: DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS!. It will get you lost. Follow hwy 65 all the way past the hot springs and up the mountain. After mm 12, stay to the right of the Y. Between mm 13 and 14 on the right there is a mailbox with green gate and large log home, come through that gate.

Learn more about this land:Welcome to our cozy cabin in the forest! You can be 5 minutes from the ski slopes or mountain bike trails, and return to a comfortable cabin complete with full-sized, glow-in-the-dark bocci ball court. It lights up at night for extra fun! We also have a relaxing deck where you can eat under the pine trees and enjoy the deer and elk passing through our yard. We have a fireplace for the winter time, and a fully stocked kitchen. The lake is within walking distance where you can fish, kayak, paddle-board, or swim. Head down to the resort and use our guest pass for a dip in the pool, a yoga class, or spend some time at the gym. We are also very near the golf course. The loft is great for kids to sleep in, and we can provide air mattresses if you need extra room. The beds have new, extra-comfy mattresses and we ensure that it is very clean for your arrival. The high-vaulted ceilings create plenty of space, and the entire cabin is 1600 square-feet. We stock it with dish soap, towels, toilet paper, shampoo, and conditioner. A nice Weber gas grill is provided to cook up your catch from the lake. Next to the grill is an outside sink available for cleaning the fish. Angel Fire also has many wonderful restaurants if you are in need of a recommendation. We love to go for walks around our neighborhood and see all the wildlife. We have seen deer, Elk, bobcats, wild turkeys, and magpies all from our front deck. If you have an RV, or friends with an RV, we have a site with hookups as part of our membership. We can provide this for you at an additional fee. The house allows for parking 3 cars, but we can accommodate RV’s there as well if necessary.

Santa Fe 1 hour Taos 90 min. Pecos National Park and wilderness 30 min. Sipapu ski basin 1 hour. So much to explore. Host can recommend many day drives and provide local information and other New Mexico destinations. The property is filled with piñons and junipers under a beautiful canopy full of blue skies and star filled nights. The space offers privacy but also host who has home on property is near for help if needed. The nice size covered deck with grill and picnic area below faces out toward arroyos. This rental is a 28 ft. Renovated RV with slide out on permanent skirted pad with covered deck and picnic area. The living space is nicely decorated, cozy and stocked with basic needs. Full bed and a single sleeper loveseat can accommodate a third with an additional fee.
