Perry Farms RV Park

Perry Farms is the home place of the Perry Family, established in 1980, and provided much open space for the children to grow and play.

 It is located in the northern edges of the Chihuahuan Desert.

 Native fauna and flora as well as beautiful blue skies, with millions of stars provide peaceful, quiet moments of nature.

Desert Camp consists of six RV spots with full hookups (electricity-30 and 50 amp, septic, water, and WIFI) and 11 unimproved tent camping areas on family property of Perry Farms. The land has arroyos, mesas, lots of flat areas to car camp, pitch a tent or sleep on the ground under the beautiful, dark New Mexico skies. There are also a few places to hang a hammock.  To the west, there are miles and miles to hike, mountain bike, or just enjoy the view of the Magdalena Mountains.  Neighbors are quiet and you can choose a spot away from anyone.

A Van Gogh sort of sunrise at the RV Park, with a sundog to the north of the sun, a rare sight to see in the east.  They are usually in the west.

The vistas from the camping locations are breathtaking, with sunsets like this one of great beauty.

The Rio Grande River Valley vista, east from the property is beautiful.

As you might guess, the views to the west are some of my favorite!

Sunrise or sunset, the views to the west are fascinating, changing all the time!

A blooming ocotillo on the property attracts honey bees and hummingbirds.

Camp Valencia

Enjoy a secluded property filled with wildlife. Migratory birds fly through. If you are a bird watcher this is a great location. The area attracts predatory birds as well as migratory birds. Bald eagles have been frequantly seen as well as a variety of hawks. The fishing is good the ditch is regularly stocked.Learn more about this land:Enjoy a large private property that butts up to the Rio Grande. This property is near the Whitmore wild life preserve in Valencia County. Kid friendly and dog friendly. A stone's throw away from the Bosque del Apache wildlife preserve. Cranes, other migratory birds and predatory birds frequent the area. The ponds and swamp are unusual for New Mexican landscapes. 

Bomvida Farms

Once the largest organic vineyard in New Mexico, Bomvida Farms began in 2020 in what used to be called Sabinal Vineyards.

The land has been vacant for over a decade and most of the grapes are dead...buta few are still hanging on. We'll do what we can you save them.

Other than that we have hundreds of animals including pigs, goats, chickens, and turkeys. In 2021 we have a long list of fruits & vegetables that will be grown where the grapes used to live.

For decades this land was part of the largest vineyard in NM until it was abandoned.Come listen to the coyotes howl and the roosters crow as you enjoy EXPANSIVE views of the Rio Grande Valley and the Manzano Mountains.Take a tour of the farm, pet some animals, see what we grow/make in our commercial kitchen, or visit our neighbor (a proper vineyard with a tasting room).Each reservation includes:*

Being almost an hour south of Albuquerque it's dark enough on a moonless night to truly enjoy the stars!We have 1 site currently available. Saltbrush (Site 1 on the map) is closer to the animals and Arroyo Vista (Site 2; not yet completed) is on the other side of the arroyo further away from our operations.

Learn more about this land:This is a very excellent spot to camp and enjoy amazing views of the mountains, a nearby magma flow, and watch the stars like they have never been seen before. The surrounding area also provides a very rare nature preserve. Please respect the land and pick up all trash. Location grid is (34.409259, -106.705133).

Learn more about this land:Our campsite provides amazing sunset & sunrise views of Whiteface Mountain to the east, Bosque Peak to the Northeast and the Sierra Ladrones Wilderness Study Area/Mountains out to the West. 

Verizon cell phone tower is located near the intersection of Highway 60 and Monrovia Street and provides for full LTE service.

The site is located about half a mile off of Highway 60, but tucked far enough away where you will not hear any highway traffic. The closest nearby land occupants are about 2 miles away and more in other directions. Privacy will not be a concern! We are slowly in the works of adding a firepit area and some pet area fencing. 

The perimeter is marked with green metal stakes with red tops.

Mostly rural, Socorro County sits in the central part of New Mexico and consists of a population of roughly 18,000. While home to very few people, the county does possess many great parks and natural wonders such as the awe inspiring Manazano Mountains and Abo Canyon.  Small towns in this county include Escondida, Socorro and Magdalena, meaning a supply run to the nearest Wal-Mart is never too far away.
