Casita Grande is a spacious 2 bedroom stand alone unit on this small hobby farm. Great for a comfortable stay while being away the business of the city.

Tres Caballos

Locals consider this property one of the best secrets of the valley. The main house is an old adobe built sometime in the '30s, added on to over the years. Joe Augustine raised his family as well as race horses here and it is often referred as the old Augustine place. 
Things I love about this place; a landscape in every direction, all the mountains that create the Mesilla Valley are visible, the way the light changes, the sound of the train, how quiet and peaceful it is, watching the crops grow and change, the very dark nights. It is an amazingly healing space to be, it kinda sucks the hustle right out of you allowing space for expansion.  Come be still and listen.
Access to the river and mountains is easy, day trips abound, and town is close enough but not too close.

All with a retro/boho feel, mid century modern meets vintage finds. The vistas are always enchanting and can be enjoyed from either of the covered porches, or out by the stock tank pond, you will have a front row seat to the Dona Ana and Organ Mountains, and probably a couple of exotic horses grazing in the pasture, just because!We have Parks, Monuments, public lands all for the hikers, foodies will delight in the many restaurants, food trucks, brew pubs and distilleries. Arts and culture abound also with a variety of museums, art galleries, theater and fiestas.And yet the farm feels remote, a slice of solitude, it is the perfect gateway to the world and the perfect place to come home to. 

Converted chicken coop is now a she-shed where you can relax, enjoy some wine, and read a book.

We absolutely loved White Sands National Monument, which is not too far away.

1972 Winnebago Convert to Tiny Home

Learn more about this land:Relax and be inspired during your stay in the renovated Winnebago at, The Western Star. This is a quaint, cozy space designed and decorated with a mix of natural materials, old desert wood and old metal found on the property or nearby. There are 2 beds (full and a twin), 10 ft sloped ceiling, sink with cold running water- no hot water, flushing toilet, mini-refrigerator, electric 2 burner stove, toaster oven, heater, plates, forks, cups, cookware and electricity. There are curtains and sun blockers for privacy. When you wake up in the morning you will watch the sun rise over Turtleback Mountain. 1 block away is the Rio Grande and Rotary Park. It's 4 blocks to the main. Located in the downtown area and hot springs district, the property has a well that draws out the hot springs at about 98 degrees and pours it in to an outdoor tub- perfect for a warm winter day or summer evenings. It can be reserved for an additional fee upon arrival. 4 blocks from the downtown area you can easily access other spas, restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, thrift shops, and the grocery store. Wake up in the morning, walk down to the river and you'll see heron, coots, osprey, sandhill crane, red wing black birds, and so many more wildlife. The coyotes regularly sing throughout the night.  I tend the property and you may see me around if I need to do light repair work. There is a care taker for the property who lives there and may be another guest as well. The property is 1/2 a city block. Your living quarters are private but the land is shared space. I'm available to engage if desired and I respect your privacy. The property is 6 city lots large and you will have access to 4 of them. Dogs are allowed for an additional fee. You must be responsible to clean up after them and they must be friendly with strangers.

Chiricahua Camp Site - 41 Acres

RV and tent camping.  Wide open spaces for camping and secluded privacy.  Lots of privacy for hiking and exploring as well as camping on BLM land and unused or monitored State park property west and south respectively.   Two miles away from a natural formation called Slot Canyon.  Fishing on the Rio Grande.  Hiking and climbing, nearby caves.  Some controlled, slow quad vehicle exploration.  Nearby is the Martinez Roping Arena for access to fishing.  Caballo lake is just 30 miles away.  Dancing and billiards at the Blue Moon Bar is 7 miles away.  accomodations are under development and will have more available to campers in near future.  Call for more information.

I couldn’t make it all the way up the drive with my rig but the host was very accommodating and put us in the lower open area that had an amazing sunrise over the hills.

Our farm is located in La Mesa, NM in the Mesilla Valley. Centered between Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX . The farming community offers open fields of various crops as well as pecan orchards. Minutes from hiking destinations Organ Mountain Desert Peaks National Monument and Franklin Mountains State Park. Various wineries and breweries within minutes. Just 6 miles off I-10 in La Mesa, NM. We are in a farming community among pecan orchards, cotton fields, hay fields. Easy to find, our peaceful and private RV sites are 1/4 mile off scenic NM Hwy 28. There are 4 wineries and a brewery within 20 minutes of our farm. Great country setting 20 minutes south of Mesilla and Las Cruces and 20 minutes North of El Paso, TX. 

We walked around and were greeted by this beautiful white turkey showing off its feathers.
