I have oner half acre of land that is open for camping and Air BNB options. The view is amazing, and you can see the Sandia Mountains and the Albuquerque Balloons in the distance.
There are neighbors at a distance away which leaves the space private and peaceful. The morning birds are lovely to hear. The sunsets vary each day with vibrant colors and the sunsets are just and grand.
Fires are okay if the wind is low or in a contained area. There is wildlife such as owls, crows, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, badgers, snakes, coyotes and more. The property is not fenced in so you do not want to leave any food out at night if sleeping in a tent. I live a short distance away and I am available if you need anything.
The entrance is on Jupiter and Torcido, and that will take you to Venus. Once on Venus, that road will wind around to the camp site. Park anywhere you would like. No human traffic goes through that area. Pick a spot and enjoy!
There may or may not be other campers, but so far, it has been pretty quiet around here.
Water refill station is not far and available for public use. You will have to sign up for a city water account to fill water. That is free to sign up, and you do not have to be a local. Anyone can do this. The water is one cent per gallon.

A series of grass pastures/meadows are flood irrigated from the river via traditional Acequias. There are sturdy footbridges over the creek. Fruit trees and grass, glades of oak trees and stands of cottonwood. The banks of the creek are shaded by Alder and Willow trees. There is a simple treehouse and a zipline near one young orchard. By the river is a simple, old A-frame, log cabin that has a porch for shade/cot sleeping. Composting toilets (2) on property. Farm enjoys quiet and privacy, occupying its own stretch of the river valley from ridge to ridge. The river runs year-round and has excellent trout fishing. There are horses on the property, and frequent sightings of turkeys, riperian birds, coyotes, snakes, deer and bears. Incredible mountain and river views. Nearby hiking, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking. All roads to and through property are rough, 4WD roads. Property is boundary fenced. Canyon walls are very steep and impressive, having bouldering and rock climbing features. The canyon is so private you cannot see another light at night. No highway noise. Spectacular in all seasons. Exceptional culturally - day trips to Santa Fe, Taos, Chimayo, Abiquiu, and Ojo Caliente. Perfect for families or large groups. Unforgettable experience. Weekend Trip to Juniper Mesa Camp
The yurt was absolutely beautiful! The inside was super cozy and clean. Kate was an excellent host and was super kind and friendly. There was a nice outhouse right outside and also a little heater which helped keep us warm all night. Very scenic views surrounding the location with lots of great hiking and outdoor activities surrounding the area. I would definitely recommend this spot.

We loved staying at the Silo! It served as a great base camp for our adventures throughout the weekend. It’s a short drive from Santa Fe and Taos and surrounded by a ton of outdoor recreation areas. The space itself had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with a shower, and a comfortable bed. It’s also secluded and offers great solitude surrounded by nature. We briefly crossed paths with Pat who was very friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay again and suggest this stay to everyone!

It was amazing! I loved the stay. The beds are very clean everything its well in organized along with a beautiful classic layout. The outside view is sooo beautiful during the sun rise and dawn. I can't recommend this site enough. We are still talking about it days later. The host was so welcoming, gave us a little tour, and told us information about the land and surrounding area. This place is an amazing vibe and experience with so many thoughtful details. It's comfortable, fun, there were interesting reading materials, everything to make coffee, a sink space setup, a heater, a spot to charge your phones, even a large mirror. A group of people could stay here comfortably as the space is setup with multiple sleeping areas. I also appreciated the little twinkle lights in the outhouse. There were solar lights around the area to light the way on arrival and we enjoyed the gorgeous dark sky and saw some meteor showers. We (and our pack) had such a comfortable stay here and it's clear the host puts a lot of love and care into it. If I'm ever in the area again, I would stay here in a heartbeat.

Very cute little place. Nice private location, but easy to find. Pat is very kind. There were a few things in the Silo that didn't work upon arrival. Pat brought in the maintenance man, but was unable to fix them during our stay. Thanks for putting in the effort.
The bed is very firm but we found it very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and linens situation. Porches are really nice for enjoying the views. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful spot. Was extremely quiet, peaceful and beautiful. With this spot, you will get the view of the sunset through the trees pretty much every single day. I am a writer and business owner, and this provided a really great inspirational spot for me! Highly recommend!
When I went, the owner had just poured in new loose gravel, so leveling for my 28ft trailer was a bit tough, but if you bring ample equipment, very doable!

This was the perfect spot for my quick trip to Albuquerque. Tara was great with communication and the space was super cozy. Everything you might need for a good night's rest or more if you're needing a warm, safe, comfortable place to hang. The location is perfect for whatever your adventure brings, easy access to key spots on the city and beyond. Tara kindly provided bedding and the house has all the things you might need (minus a shower as she thoughtfully advertised). A great alternative to a vacation rental and better than camping (no gear required). Such a great offering!
