Our family loved camping on Kammie's land. We had a truck camper and 2 tents. There was plenty of room for each. The signage and lights were very helpful. The porta potty was exactly as described, very clean and pleasant. It is situated just a few miles north of town; the market just a mile away has coffee and morning pastries. It was a very pleasant stay in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is on the Durango Silverton Railway, but that just added to the charm!

Weekend Trip to Animas Valley View

Kammie’s Hipcamp was not only met our expectations but exceeded them! Electricity was also provided (an absolute necessity in the IPhone age!). Kammie welcomed us upon arrival and directed us right to the site. As a bonus we enjoyed several starry nights in the valley.

8 nights at Riverside Glamping Retreat

This is a beautiful property and the hosts are very kind. We had great views of the river and mountains. There are 2 dogs and a cat that live on the property, they mostly keep to themselves and are all very friendly and add to the natural ambiance of the property. There is an amazing walking path along the river. The hosts were in the process of setting up some very nice glamping tents on wood platforms. Keep an eye out for those when they become available because those would make for a wonderful peaceful stay.

We spent one night at Kammie’s and it was lovely. We had water, electricity and a portable toilet. The site is pretty and very quiet. The hosts are very friendly but not invasive. Great place for tenting.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Amber and Dale’s campsite. What a beautiful spot! The site was very clean and well accommodated. Amber was nice enough to leave some extra firewood for us as well as a few camping chairs. The site was easy to find and not too far from the road. At the site was a nice picnic table, an outdoor charcoal grill, plenty of space for 2 or maybe 3 tents and a large fire pit. Also enough parking space for at least two cars. We slept in our rooftop tent on the bed of our F150 pickup. Although the tent sites are level, the parking spot had a slight slope to it so I just used some firewood under the tires to level it out. slept comfortably no problem! The site is private and surrounded by some small trees with great views and a beautiful sandstone back drop. The owners are very friendly!
