My wife and I had been coming to Taos to ski for years and years and always felt at home, but it was a Summer trip that made us realize how much our souls belong here. My wife envisioned a property with a beautiful gate so that it feels like a courtyard (And she got it!) and after visiting the hot springs we knew this was The Spot!This is perfect if you're looking for a little bit of everything; mountain views, minutes away from hiking, paddle boarding, hot springs, skiing, and endless roads and beauty to explore. We're 15 minutes away from Taos and Arroyo Secco where you can enjoy great food, galleries and shopping, and 30 minutes away from the awesome Taos Ski Valley.Ideal for couples or families of 4 or close friends.

Nestled among the Juniper trees and Pinion Pines and only a 7 minute drive into the historic town of Madrid, our off-grid 20-ft tiny house is a getaway for outdoor enthusiasts and artists alike. With skies darker than most and 360 degree mountain views, our property is the perfect place to unwind and unplug. If unplugging is not on your itinerary, we do have a dedicated work space and high-speed satellite internet suitable for any level of remote work. PLEASE NOTE: • There are narrow stairs to get to the sleeping loft which are not suitable for those with poor balance. This listing is not suitable for children under 4 years old. • Cell signal is spotty for a few miles around us, so confirm directions and check-in details with us prior to your arrival date • We live about ½ mile down a rocky, dirt road. Most vehicles have no problem if it's taken slowly although high clearance vehicles are ideal. After rain or snow events, the road can get muddy and slippery, though we have never been stuck with either of our 2WD vehicles. Please do not drive over 15 MPH on our road, as it is not county maintained and takes our community an immense amount of effort to keep it drivable. • This tiny house contains a composting toilet in lieu of a regular flush toilet. We provide directions, but if you are not comfortable with the idea then this tiny house is not for you.

In a rugged desert environment of Abiquiu, New Mexico, the secluded casita is located on Plaza Blanca (“the white place”), memorialized in countless paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe. The casita Is a space of deep solitude, silence, and emptiness—offering an ideal location to retreat, rest, recreate, and dream in the midst of pristine enchanted landscape. This modernist jewel sits 150 feet above an arroyo on the edge of the Carson National Forest. Petroglyphs and pictograms abound, acres of trails, the village of Abiquiu,, Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu Lake, and nine northern pueblos are nearby. On a remote mesa with spectacular views at the end of a steep dirt roadway, the 200 square foot casita blends native rock and local materials and is enhanced with architectural details like large windows. Includes a small fully equipped kitchen, light-filled living room with full-size bed, bath with shower, murals by artist Scooter LaForge, and pristine natural landscape surrounding it all.

Our private 100 sq ft. casita is immersed in the cottonwoods and golden rain trees in our cozy and private backyard. We converted a shed into an art studio and then into a what it is today, a stand alone guest house. There is a privacy fence separating it from the main house and a separate entrance through the side gate. There's a new full bathroom with a flush toilet, shower/tub, hot water, a kitchenette with a two burner stove and a mini-refrigerator. The space is well insulated and has two ambient eco heaters . The sleeping loft has a new full-size, firm foam mattress. The neighborhood is quiet and away from the tourism but also close enough to easily explore those aspects of Santa Fe if you'd like. Hiking and biking and skiing options are numerous and we have a co-op grocery store, yoga, coffee shop, etc. within a 3 minute drive or 15 min. walk. A laundromat is also close-by.
