Sunny Mellow Eco Villa is the land with a great history. The VERY QUIET, secret Shangra-La Valley just over the ridge from Route 66 (and I-40) was the camping place for Billy the Kid and his gang! They could quickly saddle up when the posted lookout on the ridge above signaled the passing of The Corrupt Santa Fe Cartel that bid to hold control of business throughout Lincoln County.
Even more stunning, it was the Tijeras Indian Pueblo Tribe's place of roaming and rest.
The land now sports an Organic Vineyard, Orchard and Vegetable Garden that guests my forage from when in bloom.
A Large, Clean, Secluded Redwood Yoga Deck, Ping-Pong, Horseshoes, and a Giant Swing Set, along with patios and lounges that are found over the 8 acre land, and all joined by a network of Scenic Pathways and Bridges that connect The Vineyard, The Orchard, The Garden, The Solar Array, The Swing, The Yoga Deck, Ping Pong Terrace, Horse shoe Pit... Definitely recommend staying here. Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The location was amazing and had cool little spots set up for different hang outs. I wish we could have stayed more than one night! Thank you again so much for everything guys!

Weekend Trip to Sunny Mellow Eco Villa
Sunny Mellow is just as great as it looks in the pictures, actually even better! The Yoga Yurta was super comfy, and the bathroom’s just a few steps away and really clean. Greg was an awesome host - gave a tour and shared some great local tips. The whole place is amazing. The orchard, vineyard, swing, and common areas are all so chill and welcoming. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need to cook, grill, or make coffee.
Only stayed one night, which was definitely not enough. Plus, it’s really close to other fun places to explore. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay at the Yoga Yurta! We unfortunately got in a bit later than we had hoped (after dark); the hosts were gracious about it, and Gregory kindly talked us through how to find the place ahead of time. His instructions made everything pretty easy to find. The bathroom is great and was navigable even in the dark! Everything was very pleasant and comfortable in the yurta. We only wished we had more time to spend -- hopefully another time!

Wow just wow! This location is exquisite from the moment you drive in! All the details were nicely done. Definitely an upgraded first class glamping! Inside the yurt is luxurious and just the place we needed to relax after our long drive. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for making a nice little breakfast before heading out for the day and also convenient for whipping together a little evening charcuterie to accompany your night cap. The property is beautiful to explore our favorite part was the enormous swing set! Of course coming in at a close second was the star chamber for a night gaze before hoping into the king size bed!
Lots of fun things to check out around Tijeras as well! We visited the Sandia Crest and the Tijeras Pueblo, had lunch in Albuquerque at the Church St Cafe, tried a local brew at Rumors and grabbed breakfast before heading out at Roots Farm Cafe. Would recommend all these places!

An incredible experience I had staying here— the feeling of calm and carefully cultivated natural peace is unmatched. There are so many wonderful places to sit and enjoy the trees and the birds, or to enjoy a delicious coffee, or to have a giggly conversation with a friend or partner. The hosts of this land are phenomenal human beings, complete with wonderful stories and kind words and dazzling smiles. I will absolutely be bringing the people I love most back to this spot with me, so that they too can experience the magic. Already counting down the days until I am able to return—hopefully in the summer, when the fruit trees have blossomed. :)

This place was awesome! We had everything we could possibly want and need. Gregory and Robbie were so sweet and helpful with everything from advice on things to do to making us feel truly at home! We even extended our stay once we learned another night was available. This place is a must stay if you’re ever near Albuquerque!
