There is a cleared area that I use for dog training at the front of the property and some trails throughout the property; but mostly it’s a quiet place to sleep in a small/medium sized self-contained RV without slide-outs to the side (your RV or van must contain a toilet which must be emptied off-site. Further note: I DO NOT allow tents). Also, if your RV has low clearance, there is a slope from the road to the driveway, thus the bottom of your RV may scrape the ground (neither of my vans have a problem with this: I have a Ford E350 and a Ram Promaster). If on the site in July, you can pick a pint or two of blueberries (IF they are available) for your own use. The berries are chemical free. My neighbor to the right also has a pick-your-own farm with tended blueberry fields (you are not allowed to pick my neighbor’s crop unless he is there so you can pay him) My site is in the NJ Pine Barrens which is renowned for its unspoiled nature, abundant, and diverse wildlife. It is also within the Pinelands National Reserve and within the area designated by the United Nations as an International Biosphere Reserve. Nearby is the Batona Trail, the Franklin Parker preserve, canoeing on Chatsworth Lake or the Wading River, bicycling through the Pine Barrens and and the cranberry bogs on the bicycle lanes on Routes 532 and 563, the quaint village of Chatsworth also known as the Capital of the Pines, Hot Diggidy Dog a food stand within the village of Chatsworth, and Brendan Byrne State Forest which includes the historic cranberry farming village of Whitesbog where the cultivated blueberry was developed by Elizabeth White and Dr. Frederick Coville. This spot is easy to find and quite large, we fit 2 tents and had space for more if needed. I love that there is seating, a table and fire pit all there. You really don’t need to bring much. This was my second stay at this camp this time I brought my friends and we had a blast. Thanks for another great stay.

This is the 5th or 6th time I've stayed here - that likely says it all - I like this hipcamp very much - it's private (the owner says hi, but then leaves you on your own), he provides wood for campfire, there is a water spigot, a picnic table. The site I reserve has these things, and I believe another site has electric as well, but I haven't needed that one. It's peaceful, scenic, private - and the owner is communicative, their home is in sight, but not close enough to change the nice privacy. All these things make a great hipcamp. I travel twice a year to and from Maine and Georgia, with 2 dogs, and stay there every time. Highly recommend.

This was a great camp site. It’s secluded and my 8 year old and I had a great time exploring the land and stream. LOTS of firewood and just a really peaceful experience. Also town is very close and there was a nice breakfast place to cap off the weekend.

Weekend Trip to Skyline RV Camp - Non-Waterfront

This place is pretty remarkable, because I’m sure you’ve never considered camping in New York City. The positives: easy to get to without a lot of City driving, plenty of space, electrical hook ups, safe section of town, bathrooms with toilets and showers, shockingly quiet at night. The Wi-Fi was fast and steady and it was good enough for me to have zoom meetings. The negatives: most of the sites aren’t actually numbered so you just sort of pick one but everyone who arrives looks very confused, the parking lot surroundings aren’t very beautiful and there’s a lot of weird stuff being stored in the parking lot from the gym next-door, and the bathrooms aren’t great. But, come on, it’s New York City. You’re not staying at the Ritz and this definitely is not the Ritz. This is absolutely the least expensive way to stay in New York while sleeping in your own bed. The subway is about four blocks away and it takes about 25 minutes to get to Manhattan. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

We had an amazing weekend under the shade tree at Brendan’s. He was incredibly accommodating, and the land was beautiful from sunrise to sunset. It felt perfectly secluded yet still only 10 minutes from town. My only regret was not bringing my fishing pole!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Tim’s property. Each time was very enjoyable, peaceful and you had plenty of space to run around. There is a lake there that you can’t go fishing, but unfortunately, this time I was in the dry season. This place is very well kept And enjoyable.

Abraham, the host, “made” this site! He was accommodating, helpful and so pleasant! The site wasn’t what I was expecting (I thought it would be in a more rural setting because dogs can be off leash) however I stayed because Abraham was so darn nice. My dog and I had a very restful, relaxing stay.
