Our horse farm is located in one of the most rural areas of Southern New Jersey. This land was once occupied by The Lanape Tribe. The adjacent creek was named after Chief Alloway. Artifacts of Native Americans have been found alongside this brackish water creek. This farm was for many years a dairy farm which was passed on for 3 generations until the late 80's. Our main horse breeds are 5 Arabians followed by 2 Thoroughbreds and 2 miniature ponies. In addition to horses you will see free range rabbits, chickens and beautiful cows. There are many antique shops in this area which tell the rich History of Southern NJ. Cowen mall and Royal Port are my two favorites. Another must see experience (at least once) in the area is The Cowtown Rodeo, one of the first and oldest in the country, only 14 minutes drive. Turtle Ridge farm is 35 acres of scenic beauty in historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. Secluded and private. Hiking and fishing available. Turtle Ridge Farms borders the Brandywine River and about 1,000 acres of woodland park. We try to be a unique host farm experience. We will have contactless check in available upon arrival. Campers will fill out the registration form on the front porch and then go to their site. A note about fishing. Fishing is available in the Brandywine River behind our farm, in Hibernia Park, at Springton Manor catch and release pond, and also at Chambers Lake in the park. 35-acre bucolic farm with goats, sheep, chickens and geese. Sites are near our one acre pond and each site has a fire pit. Our farm borders the 1,000-acre Hibernia Park with its historic mansion, extensive woodlands, hiking trails and along the beautiful Brandywine river. Lots of wooded areas, trails, rock outcroppings and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the park is through our farm gate near Site 2 and then down a trail. There is an indoor powder room with flushing toilet and sink for campers to use and a small camp shop. Wood is available for purchase. We are located 5 minutes from the hospital, 10 minutes from grocery stores, 30 minutes to Amish country and Longwood Gardens. We had a wonderful time camping at site 2 at Tom's place. It was so peaceful and beautiful and a short walk away from some great trails at the next door neighboring park. Room was a great host. He spent a while with us to show us around, introduce us to his goats, chickens and geese, and tell us the history of the area and his property. He had a working bathroom, a coffee machine, which was awesome because i forgot my coffee, and we bought a dozen of his farm eggs. After that he gave us our space and privacy but let us know he was available if we needed him. We can't wait to come back.

Weekend Trip to Scenic Turtle Ridge
We had a great weekend camping at Tom's place. Site 2 was private and wooded. We loved interacting with the goats. Tom was an excellent host, and having a real bathroom available was a big plus for my group. You do have to cart your belonging down a hill (and back up when you leave), but sturdy carts are provided, and it maintains the peace and quiet of the camping spots. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a great time camping here. We arrived in the dark later than anticipated and Tom graciously met us when we arrived and took us to our site. Site 4 is up against the tree line a short walk from where you park next to the house. You aren’t deep in the woods but there is tree cover above you. You’re also set away from other sites, so it feels very private. The site is sort of in a hill, but it has a few spots that were flat enough for our tent. The site has a fire ring, picnic table with tablecloth, a few plastic lawn chairs, and a plastic end table. There are a couple of chicken coops as well as geese, goats, and sheep which were all fun to visit. There’s a small “camp store” (mudroom) attached to the house which is open 24/7 and is only a couple minute walk from the camp site. The bathroom is accessed from the mudroom. There is coffee, s’mores kits, and other camp necessities for sale if you forgot anything. There are carts available to get your gear to your site. There was plenty of deadfall wood around for the weekend,, but Tom brought some split wood straight to our campsite and we had a very nice chat. There is direct access to the Hibernia Park Rim Park Trail from Tom’s property and we had a great hike along it. Overall, we highly recommend this site.

What a great place and a gracious host. With a beautiful pastor and lovley stream, this place was heaven. Horses are literally around you and you are in the field with your tent or buscamper. Sunset and sunrise were amazing here, and you have the place all to yourself. The sites are really private and big. The grass was manicured like a football stadium. I felt bad about driving on it. lol All kidding aside. This place was heaven. We are going back soon.

I loved camping at the farm! I booked last minute as I decided I needed a rest on my way home from a road trip, and Loredana was so accommodating. It was amazing to wake up with the horses visiting my campsite. Loredana left me fresh chicken eggs, and showed me her beautiful art gallery in the morning after making me an espresso. She’s such a lovely soul, and I know I will be returning in the future. Hopefully with my whole family this time!!
