2 nights at Carpathia West
I took this trip with my adult son and I was as tranquil and a bounty of wildlife. The sunsets are great and you’re perch on a hill overlooking a lake so quite scenic. If you want to totally disconnect be at peace and rough it a little this is the place for you. There is a a generator for light, heat and a refrigerator. We took our own portable compost and a small rinse king system to wash up..
Cooking outside was a thrill for my son as well, we gather wood from the surroundings.
Konsztantine was very responsive and quite hospitable. Quick responses to whatever we asked. Best in class host. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Would definitely come again! The site was beautiful. The fire pit, benches, and lights in the tree were so cozy and peaceful. We saw the second site and was amazed! We loved walking around, Shawn was always available if we needed to call or anything. It was so quiet and far away from people and still had service. We really enjoyed our time.

The upper site is beautiful. Plenty of secluded space with good hammock trees around a good, established fire pit. There's a little loop trail a little uphill from the site for an easy ~ 1/2 mile hike. We were pretty careful with food and trash cleanup, and had no critter visitors. Pleasant!
That upper site is fairly easy access with enough clearance. Most SUVs could drive up just fine, right up to the site, but probably not most cars. It's only about a 5 minute walk up from easy parking though, if needed. I'll say the drive was a little overgrown and could use a trim so as not to scratch the paint, so if I came back I'd want to bring a hedge trimmer. There is a lower site too but we didn't spend time there, and it didn't look nearly as inviting.

I love this site. This was our second year coming back to Sean's place. And there were some small upgrades from last year that were lovely. They built a bench around the fire which was helpful for extra seating and for putting out some cooking gear. They also added some little lights to the trees to make it feel cozy. There are plenty of flat spots for your tent and it is super quiet so it gives the feeling of true wilderness camping without being out of cell range. Hard to find a spot that quiet anywhere else in the area. Its a 10 minute drive to Jenny Jump State park and we attended their Saturday night astrology lectures that they do from April to October. Great place to camp out for a few nights.

Great site! Our group enjoyed the setup immensely. Nice fire pit and folks appreciated the port a John onsite as well. Our group wasn’t that big so we only walked up to the second site but it looked pretty cool too.
Shawn was awesome - reached out prior to arrival to check in and give us some details. Really appreciated his insight.

Abraham, the host, “made” this site! He was accommodating, helpful and so pleasant! The site wasn’t what I was expecting (I thought it would be in a more rural setting because dogs can be off leash) however I stayed because Abraham was so darn nice. My dog and I had a very restful, relaxing stay.

Love everything about this place. It's our group's second year back. Owner is accommodating, flexible and personable. A tremendous amount of space in a beautiful setting. Would absolutely recommend to a big group to spend time together.

Excellent camping spot at end of the driveway with porta potty. We didn't explore up to the second campsite until the morning, but WOW. Very cool site. Also a great little network of trail loops you can explore the property on. Great stop on our multi day car trip.

We had a great stay at Abraham’s property. The site is secluded and spacious, and Abraham was very responsive and accommodating throughout our visit. He made sure we had everything we needed and the amenities were all in place. Highly recommend.

Brendan’s property is beautiful and private yet close to everything. The sunset was gorgeous! Driving with our 21’ trailer was easy off the main highway. We loved our stay. Brendan was an awesome host and brought us firewood and a fire pit. I totally recommend this site for relaxation and privacy.

Been here twice already. Amazing place. Secluded. Lots of bugs but not many mosquitoes. Great fire pit. Not sure who put it but there was firewood ready for me. Seen several deers. 10min hike up from camp site, trail is not managed and overgrown. Never explored beyond this point. 100% visiting at least once a year.

This Hipcamp is for the adventurere! The directions were accurate, and I found the turn off from the main road without difficulty. Keep your eyes open as you approach the address. The turnoff is nothing more than dirt road. The turn off is on a straight section of road, so you have a little time to slow down.
I have a Jeep and had no issues, my camping partner had a new Subaru and he had no trouble. With careful tire placement, a Honda Civic could probably make it up the trail.
I drove a little up a dirt trail and came across a very nice spot. There was already a decent fire rock fire ring there as well as some primitive tree carved benches and a table.
There were enough trees to set up my hammock and my buddy had room for his tent.
I plan on going back to explore the back country of his property.
This is camping in it's most primitive way. No water, there is a Porta John on his property, but closer to the main road.
