Welcome to your peaceful, desert getaway. This little Retro Camper is only about 35 minutes from the Strip. The property is home to Joshua trees, desert mountain views, beautiful sunsets, and some of the best star gazing around. The camper comes with a full kitchen, a refrigerator, microwave, and gas stove. Dishes and utensils are provided as well as bedding and towels. The bed is about a full size bed, maybe a bit smaller, cozy for two people to sleep in. The camper comes with two space heaters and extra blankets for the winter, an overhead air conditioning unit for the summer. The shower has cold water only and is an outdoor shower. So peaceful and serene in this little mountain oasis! Hidden away within the mountains, there’s so much to see and do. Hike through the mountains and even down to Colorado River. Rent kayaks at the property to drive them down, a 7 min drive off the property. Book an off road tour around the mountains and down to the river. Check out the world famous ghost town a few minutes away and even goon an underground mine tour. It’s pure bliss and joy. A reset, a rest. Available as a single person camping, all the way up to weekend retreats for the entire family. This property is secluded and in a remote area with limited cell service. AT&T and Verizon have limited service, other carriers do not. This property is accessible by off road vehicle only, otherwise you may park your car in parking which is 4-7 minutes away from your tent by our shuttle. Off road vehicle means a 4x4 to drive over a rocky trail. To access your tent, you will be required to schedule the shuttle for check in. A host will drive out to meet you to take you to your tent. Must be scheduled in advance. Check in is between 3pm and 9pm only. The host does not live on property and travels for your scheduled check in time.

This retro RV was awesome! There is definitely a reason that this is the top hipcamp in Nevada. Heather measured the camper for us before we came to make sure our baby pack-n-play would fit. The view was awesome and the porch was a great place to spend the evening. The water in the outdoor shower was the perfect temp. Would come again.

This place is so great! The location is a little adventure and the area is quiet and so chill. My friend and I enjoyed our stay and slept with our tent open. Coming from the Joshua Tree desert, we get a lot of critters... not here. Besides a super friendly chipmunk, don't think it was Chippy but he was a fun little buddy to watch as he explored our space.

Weekend Trip to Vegas Glamping

What can I say to express how wonderful Vegas Glamping is??? Our stay was the absolute best of the best!!! We came to Nevada from North Carolina and wanted to stay at our new home away from home instead of going onto Las Vegas! The night sky was extraordinary with the most was beautiful view! Our tent was cozy, clean, and the bed so comfy…perfect! We loved grilling every meal on the fire pit…eggs, bacon, asparagus, steak, grilled cheese, and s’mores. We went “ATVing”, with Evalina’s husband as our guide, which was a blast. The scenery was amazing. It almost felt like we were in a picture book. Evalina made sure everything was perfect. She is a beautiful woman, inside and out!

Weekend Trip to Retro Camper with Mountain Views

I personally went for the views of the night sky, but found the views gorgeous 360° at all hours! Especially as the sun began to go down, the shadows gave a different perspective on the mountains. This was such a gem! I wish we could have spent more time here; I definitely hope to be back the next time I am driving through the Las Vegas area. The outdoor area with deck, solar lights, hammock, lounge chairs, picnic table, and fire pit was perfect, and inside the camper it was cozy and clean. Heather and Colton have obviously put a lot of thought and care into curating this site. They were very communicative and we loved our stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our experience at Vegas Glamping was fantastic; everything we had imagined about this adventure came true, and more! Evelina’s and David's land is beautiful and perfectly set up for a relaxing yet exciting getaway. The facilities were well thought out, making the stay comfortable and easy. The tent itself was spacious, cozy, and provided the perfect blend of nature and comfort. Every detail made the whole experience feel special and unique. From start to finish, it was a great time that exceeded our expectations. We can’t recommend this glamping spot enough for anyone looking for a fun and memorable adventure!. Evelina and David are the best hosts you can ask for. Totally recommended!

Weekend Trip to Sandy Valley Ranch

We enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to go back! It was so peaceful and it was so nice to get away from the city. Loved being able to walk around and see all the ranch animals! It was the perfect getaway. The camper is charming and cozy. It got a little warm during the day but it wasn't unbearable. They have a mini swamp fan. There are plugins for a fan if you wanted to bring one. We cooked breakfast in the morning and made smores in the campfire at night. We brought our portable hammock/ w stand to star gaze. They do have meals and other activities available. We plan to do it all next time and hopefully stay a bit longer. We stayed one night and even though it was short I would do it again! We will keep an eye on events so so we can drive down and enjoy from time time to time. Thank you for everything. Would recommend SVR!

We truly enjoyed camping in this trailer. The sounds of the wildlife in the morning and evening was beautiful! Coyotes, birds, rooster. You can see the stars as you are away from city lights. The camper is decorated and kept up well. It was clean and the bed comfortable. The outdoor shower was a treat. We had everything we needed!

The RV camper was exactly as described, cute little camper in a ‘live’ ghost town. It was nice to spend time on the balcony area in the evening and have breakfast outside early in the morning before the heat begins. We were able to cook breakfast in the morning and walk to the Pioneer Saloon for dinner. Walked around town as well which had a self guided walking tour. Would recommend! Thanks for the great stay!

Where to go

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers 1.5 million acres of mountains, canyons and two lakes, Lake Mohave and Lake Mead. Lake Mohave and Cottonwood Cove is the closest to Laughlin and offers 200 miles of shoreline, and hundreds of secluded coves, along with hiking and biking trails. More than a dozen campgrounds offer some 900 tents and RV sites, along with vehicle, horseback, shoreline, and backcountry camping options.

California and Mojave National Preserve

Just over the California border, north of Needles, the mountains and deserts of Dead Mountains Wilderness offer options for primitive camping, hiking, horseback riding, rock hounding, and hunting. Further east, the Mojave National Preserve offers a vast open land with dramatic terrain of sand dunes, canyons, mountains, and Joshua tree forests, along with three developed campgrounds and plenty of backcountry for dispersed camping.

Arizona

RV parks can be found across the Colorado River on the Arizona side at Bullhead City. Campgrounds can also be found along Lake Mohave at Katherine Landing. At Moabi Regional Park, along the Colorado River at the California and Arizona state line, dispersed and developed campsites are available, along with fishing, hiking, boating, and off-roading. Further south, camping can be found at Lake Havasu State Park, near Lake Havasu City.

When to go

Searchlight’s location in the desert of southern Nevada means hot summers with soaring temperatures, making outdoor activities other than water play a bit dangerous. Spring and fall offer the best weather for outdoor recreation, including camping. The best time for largemouth bass is between March and June, striped bass is between April and November, and rainbow trout is between November and March.
