Glamping with a pack of dogs at your door step. Enjoy a beautiful spacious yurt bordering the Tahoe National Forest in a great location with access to nearby lakes (summer) and ski hills (winter).

*Winter* snowshoe out the back door, cozy up by the warm wood stove, or use the yurt as a home base while you ski one of the nearby ski hills (20 minutes from Sugar Bowl).

*Summer* enjoy our local hiking trails or one of the many swimming holes just a short drive away. 

We are home to a pack of 12 working sled dogs, so enjoy morning and evening howl sessions from your large deck while drinking your coffee or sipping your wine.

Bathroom on the left, storage room on the right, lot's of space to hang your coats and put your boots.

Full 'dry' kitchen with a propane stove, small propane fridge (careful, it may freeze your lettuce), and a sink with a blue jug foot pump.

Meet our dogs!...or not. They don't have access to the yurt, so you can meet them (or not) on your own terms. 

We are close (10 to 15 minutes) to numerous lakes with great swimming and paddle boarding opportunities! Or hike into our local water falls!

We love to pass our free time here in the sunshine and juniper drafts overlooking the Sierras. Some days we watch the electric storms across the valley, other afternoons we picnic and nap while listening to the birds and wind.  We love the peace and silence, which feels remarkably remote and only 20 minutes from Reno. Learn more about this land:We would love to share our 12 junipered acres with nature enthusiasts like ourselves. Bring your tent or camper and spend afternoons watching beautiful sunsets and wildlife from our land.  Spectacular expansive views across the valley to the Sierras and Mount Rose.  Conveniently 15 minutes from South Reno (40 minutes from North Lake Tahoe), the silence and absolute privacy here are restorative and replenishing.  We do not have trash collection services available and we ask all guest to practice a “leave no trace” philosophy. **Because of extreme fire risk in our area we ask guests to refrain from having campfires for now. As this area is home to beautiful wildlife (and a few other distant homeowners) please visit with an intent to respect the quiet and privacy that makes this area so pleasurable for us all.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your time!  

Whites Creek Grounds

2.5 acres of square land near the edge of town. 
The area is mostly dirt with scattered large rocks. The property has paved access from the road but no power/water/utility hookups just yet. 
Situated 4 minutes from freeway I-580 (395), this campsite is close enough to town for convenience, yet distant

Features include: many walking paths all around the land, lookout point with picnic table for sunset viewing, spectacular starry skies, night time enchanted forest, and an outdoor shower. Historic Virginia City is a 7 mile drive.  Downtown Reno is 24 miles away.
