Olde LYFE Alpacas offers visits with the animals, including an organized 60 min Peaceful Walk with an alpaca where you’ll experience them up close. So peaceful and serene in this little mountain oasis! Hidden away within the mountains, there’s so much to see and do. Hike through the mountains and even down to Colorado River. Rent kayaks at the property to drive them down, a 7 min drive off the property. Book an off road tour around the mountains and down to the river. Check out the world famous ghost town a few minutes away and even goon an underground mine tour. It’s pure bliss and joy. A reset, a rest. Available as a single person camping, all the way up to weekend retreats for the entire family. This property is secluded and in a remote area with limited cell service. AT&T and Verizon have limited service, other carriers do not. This property is accessible by off road vehicle only, otherwise you may park your car in parking which is 4-7 minutes away from your tent by our shuttle. Off road vehicle means a 4x4 to drive over a rocky trail. To access your tent, you will be required to schedule the shuttle for check in. A host will drive out to meet you to take you to your tent. Must be scheduled in advance. Check in is between 3pm and 9pm only. The host does not live on property and travels for your scheduled check in time.

The Schellraiser music fest offers a variety of seasonal camping options at our 80-acre private campground in the cool high desert of Eastern Nevada's Steptoe Valley, near the small town of McGill. Our Lotus Belle-brand bell tents are solar powered and fully furnished, with king, queen and twin beds; organic Avocado-brand mattresses; rugs; loveseats; floor lamps; charging ports and wi-fi service. Car-camping and pitch-your-own-tent sites without power are also available. Havens Ranch is a 154 acres in the Humboldt river valley just 10 minutes outside of Winnemucca, NV. We have a small outdoor wedding venue, and only rent our spaces when we are not hosting an event. You are welcome to utilize the grounds and facilities, which include a beautifully landscaped lawn, historic buildings and modern plumed bathrooms. We also provide access to fresh well water and use of our large fire pits! **Please note that our bathrooms are not insulated and so we winterize the plumbing the in the colder months and will instead be providing a porta-john. There will still be potable running water available at the spigot. ** The river is a short walk away, and our longhorn cattle will most likely be grazing in the adjacent field. We have incredible sunsets and a variety of wildlife living on the property. This is a great space to get away from the city for a weekend, or camp for a night on your way through town. We have both a guest suite and several camping spaces available. It's a large property and we love to share it! If you are looking for outdoor activities, we are just minutes away from the Winnemucca Dunes OHV area (also great for hiking!), Water Canyon rec site, the Bloody Shins mountain biking trail system, and about an hour away from the Paradise Valley rock climbing area. We are 10 minutes from Winnemucca, about half way between Reno and Elko.

Lovely, quiet place to camp, and of course the alpacas made it even more special. The heater made the tent plenty warm even though it was early November. Close to Carson and Virginia City, so we were able to explore. We would definitely return!

Cozy deck/lounging chairs with views of the sunset, stars and sunrise. Perfect morning coffee spot!

This place is so great! The location is a little adventure and the area is quiet and so chill. My friend and I enjoyed our stay and slept with our tent open. Coming from the Joshua Tree desert, we get a lot of critters... not here. Besides a super friendly chipmunk, don't think it was Chippy but he was a fun little buddy to watch as he explored our space.

This is a cute and charming glamping experience. You will be lovingly embraced by the furry creatures on the ranch. The glamping tent included a heating unit which worked great, as well as a barbecue grill, amble, flashlights, water, solar powered outlets to charge our phones, and much more. The breakfast was delicious, and the jams in the country store were great too. We happened to be there on a day where there was an alpaca festival, and that was so much fun. We also witnessed an alpaca giving birth. Stacy was super accommodating. We also got to meet some of the other farmers like Jim and Nancy, who is also a holistic energy healing practitioner and sound healer. We also had a really great sleep in nature.

This was one of the best glamping experiences I’ve had. We decided to stay here before heading to Great Basin National Park. The tent was so comfortable. The bonus club house was a great place to hang and prepare food. I would definitely recommend this spot.

We LOVED our stay here! We stayed in the tent with the queen bed and loveseat and it was perfect! We also had a hammock area outside of our tent and spent a lot of time just sitting out there relaxing. Rudy was great and showed us around the property when we arrived. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone that is coming to the area.

Weekend Trip to Sleep with the Sheep

It was a great place to camp. The land owner Todd is very nice and the host Emily has thought of everything. It is a long dirt road ride but once you get to camp, your camp is all set up with a kitchen, a tent, the fire was just about lit. The sheep come and go as it is a sheep farm. Green grass and lots of trees. There is a train that goes by and let's you know how the economy is. Better economy more trains. I loved the trains. Definitely read the message in hip camp. It has directions and pictures to get out there. Just a couple of hours from Las Vegas, it was great to unplug and just be. Don't put the address in Google as it will take you a different route. It was great at the end to just pack my clothes and cooler and leave. All the set up and clean up is taken care of for you. Thank you Todd for the land and Emily for the camp, it was great to be there and enjoy the family.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our experience at Vegas Glamping was fantastic; everything we had imagined about this adventure came true, and more! Evelina’s and David's land is beautiful and perfectly set up for a relaxing yet exciting getaway. The facilities were well thought out, making the stay comfortable and easy. The tent itself was spacious, cozy, and provided the perfect blend of nature and comfort. Every detail made the whole experience feel special and unique. From start to finish, it was a great time that exceeded our expectations. We can’t recommend this glamping spot enough for anyone looking for a fun and memorable adventure!. Evelina and David are the best hosts you can ask for. Totally recommended!

Stacey has a really great farm with fun amenities! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the clamping tent! Fans worked all night, and the bed was comfortable for the both of us. The Alpacas are sooo fun to watch and feed! They loved coming over to our tent for carrots (we brought extra!) The directions were well laid out and Stacey is a wealth of knowledge about the farm and her animals! We will definitely be back to see our friends again!

Glamping was a breeze! The sleeping area was clean and had so much space. I used my sleeping bag for extra warmth at night, but there was a propane heater for use if you need it. The alpacas were my main draw and I’m so glad I was able to interact with them. They were very friendly and very curious about the dog I had with me. I enjoy the fact that I was able to feed the animals with feed they provided at their shop! Each paid campsite gets a free bucket of feed. They have two guardian dogs that patrol the area and protect the livestock, and they were very friendly. Overall a very enjoyable time. I added a breakfast to my trip and I loved it! My dog also had a very enjoyable time smelling all the smells and interacting with the animals.

Great space for a quick getaway! I live in Reno and had a friend visit from California. Between us for this trip we didn’t have much trunk room but both love camping. Stacey had all of the essentials so all we had to bring was sleeping bags and food! Definitely would recommend for friends. There was a fire ring and we were allowed to have a camp fire with wood they provided! Perfect for winter camping!

Where to go

Northern Nevada

Nevada's northernmost stretch is characterized by Wild West nostalgia and quiet communities, many heavily influenced by the descendants of the Basque immigrants who settled the region in the 19th century. The western part is home to both the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge and the Black Rock Desert, where Burning Man is held every year. Continue further east and you'll find yourself in the remote Ruby Mountains, an amazing place to hike, camp, and birdwatch.

North-Central Nevada

This quiet swathe of Nevada has some of the best outdoor attractions in the state, from the Lehman Caves system in Great Basin National Park to the massive sand dunes appropriately known as Sand Mountain. If you really want to get a feel for the region, take a long drive down desolate Highway 50, which follows the old Pony Express route. Drive far enough west and you'll end up in Lake Tahoe, offering year-round recreation and easy access to the largest alpine lake on the continent.

Central Nevada

Vast central Nevada offers a mix of quirky roadside attractions and rocky scenery. Cathedral Gorge State Park is particularly fantastic, with otherworldly caves, towering hoodoos, and more than its fair share of jackrabbits. Fans of the supernatural won't want to miss a trip along the so-called Extraterrestrial Highway, which passes Area 51 along with all sorts of UFO-themed oddities.

Southern Nevada

Although Las Vegas is southern Nevada's undisputed star, there's plenty to see and do in the region beyond Sin City, from immersing yourself in Wild West history at the Pioneer Saloon in Jean to learning about the history of hydroelectric energy at the massive Hoover Dam. If you want to take a hike, head to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, where you'll find over 30 miles of red sandstone-flanked trails.
