The front area includes their home, garden (guests can take produce), and a shop for their turf business. Chickens roam freely near the host house, so pets should be monitored. There are also calm honeybees on site. Hipcamp sites are located at the back, along with a pond for swimming and fishing. From May to September, guests can use beach toys, a paddle board, kayak, and paddle boat. Hammocks and a large playground are also available for guests to enjoy.

My ONE and ONLY Hipcamp site is locate right at the entrance of this small property. All campers must be 35 feet or less in length and given the small size of the campground it's easiest if you arrive before dark.
The entrance is on a curve so make sure you enter from the left hand side of the road and don't be afraid to roll thru a little grass to make sure you have plenty of room. Make a hard hairpin turn to the right and your campsite is straight ahead and like everything here, a pull-thru site. (Please see HIPCAMP main photo)
This is a long-term campground but I keep this one spot up front for our traveling friends to enjoy as you move across the country as options can be limited. Enjoy your stay and if you're ever unsure about anything just give me a ring.
Please make sure to arrive before dark. Small campground and quiet community with minimal lighting can make for a challenging and sometimes disorienting arrival if not careful.

This is a great option for campers with larger RV's and if you need to hook up to electrical. 120v 30A electrical service and water available on this site. You can turn around easily in the gravel drive. And you'll camp right near our cattle where you're welcome to take picture, scratch their heads, or give them a snack. Tours available too, just ask, we are happy to show you around!
This site is well lit and located near our home. We appreciate guests and welcome you to visit with us, we have children and they love to play with other kids. There is plenty of room for pets to roam and do their business.
This site is private but as a working farm you may see or hear us doing our daily routine of feeding the cows or moving equipment. We are mindful of your privacy and would never do anything to disturb our guests or ruin their stay unintentionally.
You will also have access to the entirety of our 110 acre farm to explore and enjoy nature and animals. We have a firepit and firewood available for you to enjoy a little outdoor relaxation around the fire. If you need anything else not listed we aim to please, just let us know.
If you want to purchase beef we stock many items right on the farm. Availability of different cuts of meat and snacks will vary. Our neighbors also produce milk and eggs which available for purchase too.

I stayed at the Fence Post in October, after water was shut off for the winter. HOWEVER, when I made the reservation, the host was very quick to tell me this… so I was prepared! Kathy was great about giving instructions to get to the spot (make sure you don’t come in too close to the building!), and how to leave if backing up was a problem. The area behind me was very spacious so it was “easy” to back out and drive out! ( I say “easy,” because I’m new at travel trailering and backing up isn’t ever really easy for me - yet!!). I was very pleased with how level it was - from a picture I had seen, I didn’t expect that! Woo hoo! Lots of green space available to walk the dogs. This was a one-night stay - just passing through. I noted that others discussed traffic noise. It is true, it is not too far off the road BUT, I didn’t hear a thing (& I didn’t have tv or music on!!)! I am happy to recommend it to other hipcampers! Thanks Kathy… and I hope you have a great winter!

I Was here for a quick overnight while driving through town. It’s right off the interstate and easy to find. The property was well cared for and bathroom was clean. Kathy was very responsive and the directions for parking and hooking up were clear.

This was a memorable stop! Aaron is a great host and the land is amazing. We hope he is able to expand the number of campsites with electric and outhouse. We felt very much at home. We also learned a lot about improvement in grazing lands. We would definitely like to return to see the progress being made.

The Fence Post is conveniently located right off highway 29. It was a perfect spot to post up for the night on my journey across the US. There is a nice field right in front of the parking spot. A few reviews mention highway noise. You can hear it but it didn’t feel bothersome and with a fan on, I couldn’t hear it at all.
I would stay here again!

Kathy’s Fence Post was safe and easy to hook up. Very quiet and great for a stop along a trip. She also had great recommendations for additional stops on my trip. I highly recommend the fence post if you are looking to stay a night or two.

Nice place, green and quiet for the most part, though there are nearby houses and you can hear their dogs and roosters. Fireflies put on quite a show once the sun goes down. There is a porta-potty on site and a nearby trail. Corey also reached out the day we were coming in, and was very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet peaceful site on a working farm with goats, right across from a very nice public trail leading to the river. Full hookup pull thru.
Corey is very friendly and helpful, responding to text questions promptly and assisting us with getting into the site. He gave us two bars of homemade goat soap! Thanks, Corey!

Clear directions host greeted me right away. I camped with a tent for one night, grass area was too high, it rained a lot and I couldn’t keep my feet dried. Train goes by nearby and sounds the horn quite often. Bathroom is an outhouse and it appeared to be very full, so was the garbage . I can’t recommend this place. Sorry
