A 154 acre working ranch that has been operating over 100 years, situated in a wildlife corridor joining the Mission Mountain wilderness with the Flathead River and Bison Range. The camping site is located along 300 feet of the Mission Creek with scattered 100 year old pine trees. A nature walk to 3 walking bridges, with spectacular mountain views, an old cedar grove and a bald eagle nest is available. Access to the creek is possible from the camp site, although some areas of the ranch are off-limits due to ranch operation and private dwellings.

The Mission Mountains Primitive Area is one of the last strongholds of the grizzly bear.&nbsp; Maggie's Bunkhouse is&nbsp;smack dab in the middle of the grizzly bear's last retreat here in the Flathead Forest and Jewel Basin.&nbsp; You can however rest easy, and sleep safely in our bunkhouse without fear of&nbsp;these majestic creatures.Learn more about this land:Come sleep in our cozy hayloft on 11 beautiful acres. The horses will be your neighbors below.  We are 30 minutes from Glacier Park, and minutes to many trailheads and lakes. Wake up to fresh fruit and muffins - You’ll love having your first cup of coffee looking out over the pasture or a glass of wine in the evening watching  the sunset.

Guest access
Entire private main floor of the log cabin. Apartment downstairs has its own separate exterior entrance on the back of the house that is not accessible from the main floor. So your space is completely yours. Full private use of the back deck and BBQ.
Other things to note
Don't be surprised if there is a Ford Bronco parked in the carport. The owners leave it there for their visits.

The downstairs separate apartment is currently unfinished so there will not be any other guests staying on the property during your visit.

The Mooseshroom

The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property.

The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings.

***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

This property sits on a ridge line that ties into the Mission Mountains. &nbsp;Very close to town but definitely in the wild. &nbsp;Our views span the entire length of Flathead Lake and the Mission Mountains. &nbsp;A clear day shows the beautiful Glacier Park in the distance.

Robinson’s Roost

Welcome to Robinson's Roost!

My husband and I bought 3 acres of land and built our retirement home 16 years ago. We have chickens, fruit trees and a giant garden, and have 4 campsites in the wooded area of our property. We are excited to offer bathrooms and hot showers!  

Each campsite also has its own picnic table and there is a communal fire pit.

We have a beautiful piece of property with the Columbia mountain range in our back yard.

Great views, wildlife, garden, chickens. Situated on a dead end dirt road that is very peaceful and quiet. Hiking and water sports are also close by and we are only 6 miles from town.

We are 20 miles to Glacier National Park, where the beauty and activities are endless.

I have plenty of shopping, dining, hiking and activity ideas while visiting.

Close-to-Town Pasture Site

We landed here a few years ago and fell in love with the sunsets and the quick access to town (both Whitefish and Columbia Falls)!

We have a site in the field in front of our house, just off Highway 40 that's perfect for the quick overnight campsite as you're on your way to Glacier.
