Weekend Trip to Back Of The Moon

Excellent stay! Carolyn was super welcoming and a good communicator. The property is nestled away in a quiet area and was perfect for our quick weekend trip.

2 nights at Mission Falls Ranch

My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Geof when we arrived. We camped by the river, which lulled us to sleep every night. The bed was comfy and large. I get cold easily and was concerned that the A frame would be too cold in the middle of the night. My husband and I slept like a baby and I was not cold at all. The outhouse was near by. I learned that pouring bark in the toilet will keep the odor down. There was a converted a small trailer into the cutest shower and dressing area. Only had an issue with controlling the hot and cold water but all else was great. Their dogs are well behaved, love to play catch. One pup in particular was clearly playing hide and seek. He would bring the ball or stick and then run to hide behind a near by bench and would peer through the slats until I threw the ball or stick. He would appear and go after it and do the same. None of the dogs jumped on us or were pushy about playing. It was devastating to hear that a guest ran over and killed one of these precious members of the family. Please be careful when you drive onto the property. Pets are part of a family and are loved just as well. Please be cautious.

Well thoughtout layout. Quiet and peaceful site, level and well assessoried with fire ring and picnic table and full hookups. Good distance from other campsite but close enough to feel secure. Would recommend highly! Host offered wifi but we used our Starlink which received good reception.

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and it was great! Carolyn was an awesome host, very welcoming and friendly, and offered great local dining recommendations. Her property was private, peaceful and beautiful. We overlooked Haymoon Resort who had horses and dogs and a pond to enjoy. Water and 20 amp electric hook up available, she provided an extension cord, so I didn't even have to get mine out of the van! Would recommend and would come back another time when in Whitefish. Thanks!

We had a great time up here! The hosts were very nice and there was plenty of space. Definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area!

Such a beautiful location! Love the shared fire pit, the view of the river and the electrical hookup. There were even little touches like having bottles of water near the fire pit to make sure the fire is out. The trailer pads were super level and gravel. Truly wonderful location!

1 night at Back Of The Moon

Wolf Moon is the first of two sites when arriving on the property. A private tree line gravel road brought me to the property. Google maps guided me through the minor turns. The electrical for this first site was best accessed when I backed in with my 27 foot truck camper. The site is level and I used about a 30 foot electrical cord. Carolyn is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She shared information about the wide variety of local amenities, including restaurants, shops, hiking, etc. While the town of Whitefish is only about eight minutes away, I was in a location which was quiet, secure and peaceful.

Water and electrical are available. A beautiful setting.

1 night at Back Of The Moon

I loved the RV site on Carolyn‘s land. My truck camper, about 27 feet, fit easily into the site. The setting is quiet and peaceful with a “being in the woods“ feeling with all of the trees. Carolyn is friendly and professional. She is knowledgeable about all of the local activities, restaurants and things to do. Lots of hiking is available, both scenic and challenging. Cycling, both on and off-road is readily available. The town of Whitefish is about eight minutes away, it is charming with a variety of good restaurants and shops.

2 nights at Whitefish Farms RV Sites

After spending a day in busy downtown Whitefish or at Glacier National Park it is so nice to have a place to rest that is serene and beautiful. Curt & Andrea are such gracious hosts and have thought of everything that you might need: Doggie Poop Bags, fire pits to sit and enjoy the sunset, plenty of space to walk your dog and a big grass area for games or relaxing. It is truly a retreat just being there.

This site was super! There is a nice green grassy area and full hookups. Kelly was a very gracious host and even showed me her beautiful garden. The location is convenient to Glacier Park, Kalispell and Whitefish. I will remember this for my next trip through Montana.

Absolutely amazing and Peaceful! Tylar took us in last minute and made us feel like home. So much space! Would absolutely love to stay again!

The view was beautiful, the location was peaceful and a convenient location if you want to visit Big Fork or Kalispell. Wayne was highly communicative. Thanks for the assistance, Wayne, when backing in our toy hauler/camper so we had the optimal view of the lake. Really enjoyed taking walks around the loop and appreciated using the paddleboards. Would come back again!

Weekend Trip to Mission Falls Ranch

This is a splendid creekside paradise, an incredibly special place. The location is unbeatable. The flowing creek, the cabin, animals, birds, tranquility, and welcoming hospitality of the hosts is incredible. The cabin is so clean, bed is comfortable, fire pit and chairs and all the thoughtful touches made it feel heavenly. The camper trailer shower is amazing and they have the cleanest portable toilet I’ve ever been in, and my goodness the animals were so friendly and adorable! This is the spot for the best camping/glamping experience. You will love staying here. Highly recommend.
