Weekend Trip to North Haven Campground

We landed across this place last minute due to schedule changes and we ended up loving it. Although the sites aren’t anything special (we had a pull through with water and electric, which offered more space than those with full hook-ups), we loved site 18. We opened up so we didn’t see anyone but had full access to the recreation area that no one seemed to use. We played Corn Hole, listened to music, played ball with our dog, all in this open area. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room are worth visiting this place, just to clean up. You will be shocked at what you experience. Enjoy!

Shayne and Ryder are great people! Very friendly and they made sure that we had everything we needed when we checked in. Shayne even took our son to feed the horses and play with the goats while we unloaded our stuff. The Airstream was comfy and clean and Ryder made sure we knew how to work everything. It's very close to a couple different parks on the lake for swimming, fishing, etc. We'd definitely stay with them again!

3 nights at Legacy Creeks Ranch

A great location far from town that's quiet, relaxing and provides an amazing stargazing experience at night. The hosts are wonderful people who bend over backwards to take care of you while giving you plenty of privacy. While it is a drive into the mountains (about 4,000ft elevation according to my phone), the property is easy to find and accessible via paved roads if arriving from the East/Whitefish. There's no cell service, so bring a satcom system or use the one generously provided by the hosts. The two RVs sites are in tandem along their access road. They're not private and may take bit of leveling on your arrival, but are easily accessible by even large trailers.

It was a great place to stay and wound up being really close to the disc golf course we wanted to play. They had cute little goats they were very accommodating and had the generator that we needed for my CPAP machine. We had no issues and it was a quiet great Montana place to stay.

Weekend Trip to Little Beaver Creek Ranch

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were greeted by Mary the owner who is very friendly and helpful. She jumped on her ATV and lead us to our camp spot. The views are breathtaking! The property has a beautiful trail at the edge of the property that goes over a creek and cows crazing in the field right next to it. It was fun to look at all the farm animals which included horses, chickens, goats and very friendly dogs. There is no internet near the camp spots. On Sunday morning, Rob the owner came over to chat with the two other campers that were there. He invited a mom and her young son to take a ride in the side by side to help him move the cows to a different field which I’m sure was so much fun for all. We camp a lot and this is one of the best camping experiences we have had and can’t wait to go back!

Site was charming, with plenty of forest cover and a pond. Folks were very cordial. Hook-ups worked. The campground sits adjacent to the highway and there are somewhat busy train tracks. But, honestly, the site was quiet enough for a restful stay. My only negative would be that the campground is comparatively expensive.

This was our 2rd experience camping at Shayne and Ryders property this summer. There are lots of trails choose from to match riding skills of you and the ability of the your horse. We went on several 14 mile rides. The views were totally awesome. Shayne and Ryder are exceptional host and way beyond the call of duty to make you and the horses welcome and comfortable. We are looking forward to next stay and trails riding experience.

This was the perfect quiet getaway for us. We really enjoyed the pond for the dogs to swim in. The wildflowers covered the property. It was lovely. These hosts were top notch. Very friendly as well as informative. We plan to make another visit when we can
