We're in rainbow subdivision. possibly Montana's oldest subdivision. We're on Lower Rainbow Road. In the summer we see some spectacular rainbows, many being double rainbows. Enjoy what this 1-bedroom modern range camp has to offer. Forced air gas heat, Indoor and outdoor kitchen, Two Queen beds, 3/4 bath. Clothes closet and drawers Pantry, Gas range and oven. convection oven and micro wave, Keurig coffee maker. Refrigerator/ freezer, Solo fire pit with Adirondak chairs, hard woods for cooking and softwoods for just gereral hanging around the camp fire, Treager smoker grill and a weber propane grill. If there are more than two people in this camp, it's a small space and you best be the courteous kind. This sheep camp is the real deal. It was made for people who work on the range. Cowboys, sheepherders and such. As such you will need to be a bit western in attitude to fully enjoy it. It is very efficient but a small space. It works fine as a place to stay especially for one or two people. The basic normal things are intuitive. But for using things like the outdoor kitchen, the range oven and awning you may need a quick lesson on how those work. We are happy to teach you. If you want the experience or ambience of using the woodstove then we absolutely require that we instruct you on how to use it first. Using it requires your attention. Before TV and other modern distractions, the fire was the center of our attention and social environment. Giving your stoves fire attention then was easy. It still requires your attention if you choose to use it here. You can't use the wood stove when it's warm out because it would get to hot in the camp. The fire pit is always allowed. I really enjoyed my stay at the Gnome Home! It’s very quaint and fun. Sheila is so kind and very thorough with instructions which makes it so easy to find and get settled.

A friend of mine and I stopped by on our way across country and John and Sheila’s Gome Home was absolutely a highlight! Their property is not only absolutely beautiful with lots of cute and friendly animals roaming around but also conveniently located next to Yellowstone National Park and the nearby town. Will be visiting again on our next time through the area.

2 nights at North Fork Cabin

Clean and very well stocked for a cabin. The sleeping bags and mattresses/cots on site were comfortable and clean. It’s remote, the stream is awesome to have nearby, the night sky is incredible with near zero light pollution, great fire pit, xl picnic table, lots of propane lanterns/burner/grill, I could go on for awhile. I didn’t get a chance to meet the folks who own it but they’re probably really great. Their cabin game is A+. I would note that this property is not for the total novice camper. You’d have to be atleast a decent driver to get a shitty little car or minivan down the path to the cabin but it’s no problem in an suv or truck. The cabin has everything you need to really have a great glamping base camp, your entrusted with a nice assortment of fire, propane accessories, fire pits, wood stoves, sharp stuff etc. Nothing here is stupid proof. Your don’t have running water, there’s no electricity and no fires if things get to dry. That being said it’s got plenty of water from the creek and various buckets, tubs, coolers and such along with a really cool old wash basin thing for your hands. There are a bunch of propane lanterns, mantles and fuel all stocked for light. Great options for cooking, grate over the fire pit, grill, and two large burners inside. We flew out and rented a car to explore the tri state area so we had very little with us. I would recommend a headlamp, some good food and maybe a few cold beers but you don’t need to worry about a whole lot else

I loved the little gnome home. It was a fun place to stay. Shelia was a great host. She had given us advice of where to go in Yellowstone. She had also made my son and I a pancake breakfast after we completed a task that she asked of us. I highly recommend this little home. Thank you.

3 nights at Yellowstone City Guest Ranch

Super cute cabin with everything I needed. The stream right by it also kept the area nice and cool despite an air temp of 90. The road leading to it had a number of big potholes that would be hard on smaller vehicles, but it also made sure that any traffic going through were going slow. Would absolutely stay here again!!!
