The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

We are located on 40 acres that include forested trails, a large pond, two small ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife as well as spectacular stargazing at night. All sites have a campfire ring and picnic table. We provide a unique eco-camping experience in contrast to the crowded campground/RV park, and we are only 6 miles away from the entrance to Glacier National Park! Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles as some sites may be a better choice for you than others. No hookups are provided – dry camping only. Parking for larger vehicles/trailers is available at sites 1-6 - an open, flat meadow with the pond on the other side of the road. Tents are welcome in all sites; although, we recommend the back meadow sites (7 and up) for more secluded tent campers (especially in July) as it has less traffic and more privacy. Sites 7-20 (the back meadow sites) have parking for vehicles 26' or less in total length. All sites have access to vault toilets, and all sites are back-in sites with partial shade. Because of the proximity to Glacier National Park and the main HWY, traffic noise and train noise can be heard at the campsites. Visitors are ask to keep their speed to a minimum to reduce dust on the dirt on Greens Road. We are just a short bike ride away (two minutes by car) from attractions such as the Whiskey Barn, The Paul Bunyan Bar & grill, Glacier Hi-Line Ropes Course, and the Amazing Fun Center, maze, and mini golf. It is also easy access to the Gateway to Glacier Bike path. E-bike rentals are across the street from us. Closest Gas station is the Cenex in Coram (1.5 mi away). Closest public (free) landfill dump is 2.2 miles toward Columbia Falls at 9626 Us HWY 2 E. Near Paul Bunyan Bar and Grill (which is also a good restaurant near us). Look for the gated entry and small sign marking Flathead Landfill. Closest grocery is in Hungry Horse at Canyon Foods Grocery (3.5 miles away). There is a laundromat next to this grocery store. Closest dump and water fill up for a vehicle with a holding tank is Mikes Conoco at 1645 9th st W in Columbia Falls (8.9 mi away). Closest town with wifi, cafes, restaurants, urgent care and larger grocery stores is Columbia Falls (9 miles away). Though this is a new listing on Hipcamp, I've been hosting on another platform since 2017 with consistently stellar reviews. I’ve decided to switch to Hipcamp because it seems like a better fit for my low key, rustic offerings. My one acre property is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded mostly by uninhabited lots. There are two wall tent listings, and the kitchen and bathroom facilities are communal. I also live on property with my two dogs. Daisy is a pit mix and Frodo is a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix livestock guardian dog. They are friendly and like to hang out in my fenced backyard. Frodo does bark at night to ward off bears and other unwanted visitors. There is also a train nearby that runs all hours of the night. If you're looking for lodging in Coram, you're going to hear the train. For these reasons, earplugs are provided. In addition to hosting Hipcampers, I'm a host on Workaway, and so there may be workstay volunteers on property as well during your stay. If so they also use the bathroom facilities but they share my outdoor kitchen with me. I'm in the process of developing the property into a permaculture homestead, expanding my garden, and doing more natural building projects. If you share these interests be sure to let me know!

Take a scenic drive to Glacier Park, just an hour away, or set up a tent outside the cabin and enjoy quality time with family around the fire pit. Glistening solar string lights illuminate the night, accompanied by an outdoor shower and wash basin for refreshing morning and evening routines. Theres also a place to pitch a tent next to the cabin. You will need to bring the following: * Towels & washcloths for outdoor shower * shampoo, soap, dish soap * propane cooktop * firewood * generator if electricity is needed * bedding if you need to use the queen sized hideabed couch 10 minutes to Bitterroot Lake & 20 minutes to McGregor lake. Most cell phones work at the property. ( bring your own bedding for the queen hideabed ) To gain access the cabin you will be driving through a gate onto private property shared with a business called the Marion Floor Store. Once your through the gate simply drive down the inactive grass aircraft runway to the other end of the property and you will run into the cabin on the right side of the runway.

I am very grateful to my past self for unintentionally arranging my travel plans such that I was able to spend a leisurely afternoon & evening plus a nice slow morning enjoying all that The Mooseshroom has to offer. Terri was an incredible host, and my little dog and I felt so welcome and relaxed. It was truly a rejuvenating stay and a must-visit in the Glacier area.

The Stargazer tube was absolutely incredible! Perfect for me and my husband and the camping grounds were great for a nice walk around at sunset. Super convenient location to get into Glacier National Park quickly and lots to explore in between.

We loved our stay in the tube site! It was perfect for us, since we flew in and didn’t want to travel with much camping gear. Plus it’s bear proof! The on-site mercantile had everything you might need, including coffee, bear spray, solar showers, and firewood. Jake was super accommodating and even heated up water for our forest shower a couple of times. The location was also perfect for accessing the park, and we enjoyed free coffee (with our own cup) each morning. We recommend Josephine’s for dinner just down the road.

Terri’s Yurt and hospitality made for a perfect base camp on our trip to Glacier National Park! The yurt and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. For two adults with a pretty significant amount of hiking gear, we felt like we had plenty of space. The quick drive to the west entrance of the park was a huge plus! Highly recommended!

Dan’s plot of land was absolutely incredible! This was our first Hip Camp experience and it did not disappoint. The shared spaces were wonderful. The tent we stayed in was perfect-sturdy, clean, well insulated, quiet, GREAT location! 10/10 recommend!

Great accommodations if you're visiting Glacier as it's less than 10 minutes away. The front desk and grounds staff were very friendly, the yurt was clean and comfortable (#3), and it was really great having 24/7 access to the lounge and laundry. We'd definitely stay here again!

Terri and the Mooseshroom yurt were awesome. The yurt had everything from coffee to bear spray. The yurt had a porta-potty as well as a communal bathroom + shower room for the whole camp. Everything was clean and the host was very accommodating. All that plus being 20 min from the park entrance was so amazing!

It was a beautifully laid out campground with so many private, wooded camping spots. Even the outhouses were so clean. We stayed in the tube tent, and because we did not have our camper, It definitely felt much safer and definitely more comfortable than a tent. The stargazer tube tent is such a great idea and had electrical and water at the camp spot too so that helped! 😊👍

We had a fantastic stay at North American RV Park and Yurt Village. It was noisy at night but we expected that so had no issues, just bring your ear plugs. The location and amenities were fantastic and the advice we got from the team on what to do in Glacier National Park was incredible with lots of little local gems provided to us. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be close to Glacier National Park.
