Eclipse Special! Rent out my quiet, secluded cabin nestled on 20 acres in the Ozark Mountains for the eclipse. This tranquil retreat features moss-covered walking trails leading to a natural spring. Enjoy the comforts of our 3-bedroom, 1-bath cabin with a wrap-around porch. We are ready to host you and your RV on six peaceful acres of a 12 acre parcel on the edge of Salem, AR city limits. We are right between somewhere and over there, not far from the whatchamacallit (which closes at 5 p.m. and is never open on Sundays). We are located on the bluff of the South Fork of the Spring River. Just across the bridge is public land that has an access point for small boat launching. This river is wadable. Throw a lawn chair in and bring your favorite beverage and sit and soak up the sun. Choose from three available sites – each with at least 30 yards from its nearest neighbor. No water, sewer or electric at sites. Generators welcome. Run it all night if you want. Water is available to fill your fresh water tank for a $5.00 fee. We do have a way you can dump your tanks, but could be tricky for some rigs. There is a $5.00 fee for that as well. Fire ring and picnic table included at each site. Feel free to gather fallen branches for fire wood if you didn’t bring your own. No cutting from trees permitted. We do have occasional burn bans in the area during hot and dry spells, but generally it's in the very midst of summer if a ban does occur. We are pet friendly, but if your pet is not friendly, we ask that you keep it leashed; otherwise, they are free to roam (we cannot be responsible for runaways). Your pet should never be unattended or allowed to infringe upon a neighbor. We are located 18 miles from the MUST-SEE Mammoth Springs and 25 miles from Henderson/Norfork Lake. Both great for a day trip. Salem is in Fulton County – a dry county. BYOB! If you need to go for a beer run, you are looking at a 17 mile trip to Bootleggers, or an 11 mile trip to Barker’s Hilltop Package Store. Twinbridges View Campsite

The site is the location of the former Missouri Highway Department Twinbridges Roadside Park now privately owned. The entry is a paved road and accessible in most weather conditions, it is a U shaped drive that sits on a knoll above the highways, it is accessible from both highways 14 and 181. The site has several fairly level spots where RV's can be parked and the site will accomidate up to 3 wheeled RV's or campers depending on size and arrangement. There is also room for several vehicles to park. We will mow the old roadside park area prior to your arrival and you may place your RV's and tents anywhere on the mowed area you wish. This property is located at the east juction of Missori Highways 14 and 181 and is directly across the highway from Twinbridges Canoe Rental and Resort (which is not part of this property and use of the resort's ammenities is not included in your rental fee). Included on the property there is a gravel access road to a large gravel bar directly on the banks of Spring Creek adjacent to the Spring Creek bridge. This road is steep and rough and 4WD vehicles are highly recommended to access the gravel bar, but access to the creek once at the bottom is flat and fairly level with a nice hole of water directly above the gravel bar. Camping on gravel bar is permitted but you must be sure your vehicle is equiped to get in and out. Recovery of vehicles which cannot navigate the steep road will be quite costly and access is soley at your own risk. Additionally the gravel bar is subject to severe flooding even with only a couple inches of rain. Spring Creek is cold as there is a large spring named Big Spring about 1 1/2 miles upstream. The creek provides great fishing for smallmouth bass, sunfish, catfish and several large Rainbow Trout have been caught out of this water hole. From the gravel bar you can lauch canoes and kayaks and float downstream to where Spring Creek joins the North Fork of the White River about 2 miles below the bridge. Those who wish to float this small stream should be aware that this is a small tributary to the river and may require dragging your boat over trees and through shallow water. Also during periods of high water it may be quite fast and challenging requiring only experienced paddlers attempt the float. The property is situated between the Spring Creek Highway 14 bridge on the east and North Fork River Highway 14 bridge on the west it is boundried by the Highway 181 Right-of-Way on the west, the Highway 14 Right-of Way on the south (the center of the bridge deck is the south property line on the gravel bar), the center thread of Spring Creek is the east property boundry and the north property boundry is marked by a metal fence post driven in the east powerline Right-of-Way about 2/3 of the way up the hill which is situated between Highway 181 and Spring Creek. The hike up to the top of the north property boundry provides a beautiful view of both the bridges and the creek and river valley below. There are several tall bluff overlooks from the north property line as well.

Rather you're after solitude or sport, this area has you covered. Kayak, canoe, and shuttle rental, service is available at hufstedlers.com and is a short 11.5 mile drive. Beautiful eleven point river offers blue, red, and white ribbon, spring fed trout/walleye water. If you're looking to float the river, be sure to research the many springs on the way down your trip and the historic mill communities that once flourished there. These are perfect opportunities to take a break, eat a meal, and explore the area. Most also will have public bathrooms. Unless there are multiple reservations, you will be allowed to hookup/stay at whichever site is the easiest for you to get parked at. We are ready to host you and your RV on six peaceful acres of a 12 acre parcel on the edge of Salem, AR city limits. We are right between somewhere and over there, not far from the whatchamacallit (which closes at 5 p.m. and is never open on Sundays). We are located on the bluff of the South Fork of the Spring River. Just across the bridge is public land that has an access point for small boat launching. This river is wadable. Throw a lawn chair in and bring your favorite beverage and sit and soak up the sun. Choose from three available sites – each with at least 30 yards from its nearest neighbor. No water, sewer or electric at sites. Generators welcome. Run it all night if you want. Water is available to fill your fresh water tank for a $5.00 fee. We do have a way you can dump your tanks, but could be tricky for some rigs. There is a $5.00 fee for that as well. Fire ring and picnic table included at each site. Feel free to gather fallen branches for fire wood if you didn’t bring your own. No cutting from trees permitted. We do have occasional burn bans in the area during hot and dry spells, but generally it's in the very midst of summer if a ban does occur. We are pet friendly, but if your pet is not friendly, we ask that you keep it leashed; otherwise, they are free to roam (we cannot be responsible for runaways). Your pet should never be unattended or allowed to infringe upon a neighbor. We are located 18 miles from the MUST-SEE Mammoth Springs and 25 miles from Henderson/Norfork Lake. Both great for a day trip. Salem is in Fulton County – a dry county. BYOB! If you need to go for a beer run, you are looking at a 17 mile trip to Bootleggers, or an 11 mile trip to Barker’s Hilltop Package Store.
