We live on a small paradise covering 2 acres. We have plenty of space for 33' foot campers, tents, vans, etc. Our backyard has been designed to accommodate families and the single nomads. We are a small hobby farm with a dog, chickens, a small fruit orchard, vineyard, and garden!! On the north end of the property we created a playground with a jungle gym, swings, trampoline, playhouses, outside polyjohn/toilet, and a 16' pool. This property is pet friendly but be warned we do have a large dog (very friendly)! We have power to support smaller 20amp campers with water and a dump station.

Float, Fish, Swim or vacation in the Ozarks. We have approximately 3 acers of the 15 we own set aside for camping. Plenty of room for two campsites on cleared, level land adjacent to the James River. Best suited for tent or small campers. We offer firewood, a port a potty, a dumpsite for holding tanks, water from our well to fill your water tank and electricity to charge devices and RV batteries at my barn. Generator rental available on a first reserve, first serve basis. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include trout fishing, and a mountain bike park.
Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common.
Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. I added a small floating dock last year to fish or swim off of. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp.
Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away.
This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.)
We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like.
We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!).
Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

3) The Cicada season usually starts in May. We recommend earplugs if that sound bothers you.
4) During heavy rain, there is a seasonal creek leading to the back of the property that can be difficult to pass without a 4X4. If you aren't driving a 4x4, park closer to the house on the gravel driveway.
5) There is a walking trail around the perimeter of the property.

Very great host to work with. Communicates well! Lovely back pasture with thick soft grass to camp on. Keep the zip closed though, Tiny bugs and spiders live in the grass.
Beautiful green property, friendly dogs, and rescue horses mill about. I said hey to a few over the fence. An armadillo shuffled thru around 11 pm, kinda freaked me out but once we saw each other they waved me off and went on their way! It was my first time using this app to find a camping spot and it was worth it! Best of luck to Candida the gracious host and go stay there at her place!

Very much felt like we were in nature. Could hear a million different sounds coming from insects birds and everything. Very quiet and no light pollution blocking the stars. The hiking trails are also work worth it. This is our 3rd camping trip this year and this was my favorite so far. They do have dogs that will visit your campsite but are all very friendly and we honestly enjoyed having them around. Especially the big brown one named Bear

Loved Dockley Ranch SO much and can’t wait to go back. The pups, goats, alpaca, chickens, mushrooms, Claire, and Myke were all so welcoming! We explored the trails every day, used the awesome fire pit every night, and we still didn’t want to leave after our long weekend.

I tent camped in a beautiful large grassy meadow under the shade of a large oak tree. A great spot and a convenient location.
The only thing needed to make this absolutely perfect for me would have been a picnic table for me to prepare my breakfast.
However, to be quite transparent, I was delayed and missed my booking, but Candida welcomed me a day late anyway, even while her primary site was occupied. I would have been stuck with no place to stay if Candida hadn't welcomed me. There was plenty of room for me to camp without interfering with the other campers who had the reservation for that day.
All in all it was a quiet, pleasant evening.

This is such a wonderful spot and Gregory is an incredible host. The site itself was so spacious and shady with an incredible view of the river. The port-a-potty had been freshly cleaned before we arrived. Gregory brought us tubes to use on the river and we had fun swimming off the dock. When it was time to leave one person in our group had a flat tire and Gregory brought down a compressor to get them aired up. He truly went above and beyond to make our trip great. We will absolutely be back to this spot again!

Beautiful spot! Very private, nice dry wood, and one of the most comfy swivel, bouncy chairs made it deluxe! And a beautiful group of horses. Toilet paper in privy was used as mouse nesting material, so glad I had my own :) I lucked out and got an actual rainbow!
