Weekend Trip to Dodge Acres

Jon, keeps up the property extremely well. Well groomed, scenic spots, and pretty level. Coming in is a little ruff on the dirt road, but trust me it's worth it!! Host, is extremely accommodating generous person. We enjoyed hanging out, and a fabulous friendship has erupted!! We will most definitely be back and hope Jon will also visit us sometime

Spent 1 night on our way back home to Louisiana. Easy to find day/night (we arrived after dark), it’s ,secure, secluded, perfect for a tent or a self-contained RV. We were in a 32’ motor home and had no problem getting in/out of the property. There’s an awesome creek with couple of waterfalls. There’s a 3’ waterfall. that you could put a float or two in the 4’ pool below and just lose yourself in the beauty and peacefulness of nature there. I got in the creek and walked it a bit. I would’ve had my float in that pool if, we didn’t have to head back home. The stars are beautiful in the evening. My husband & I, are looking forward to planning a trip back in the near future to spend a whole weekend enjoying the property & creek. Perfect place to get away from everything and yet, near to stores and interstate

This was our first time at a HIPCAMP campground. The site was great! Big and flat with nice views of the cornfields. It rained the whole time we were there so the dirt road to the campground was very muddy. The storm knocked out the electricity not long after we got there and we spent the night without electricity and the next morning, the water we were hooked up to, ran out of water.🙅‍♀️

Great site. Level and well maintained. Scott was super helpful.

We really enjoyed camping and hiking on Vincent's land. The trails follow a creek that runs through the property and end at a waterfall, very scenic. Vincent was a great host and quickly responded to any questions we had.

Scott is a great host. Very responsive and quick to address any issue. Nice place. Be aware as stated the road in is rough.

We loved tent camping so much on Jon's land, we stayed twice! Super peaceful. Absolutely loved all the lighting bugs at night.

Great site set ups, easy access from the main road, facilities are clean, and Scott the host is great. He made check-in a breeze. Also had space for the dog to run which she loved!

Beautiful campsite with nice amenities. Directions were concise and the host was kind and helpful. would stay again!

2 nights at BLACK RIVER CAMPSITE MISSISSIPPI

Really beautiful, lush campground with tall trees and tons of different birds. I was only there one night but really enjoyed trying to identify which birds I was hearing. Jon was super thoughtful and is definitely more interested in the safety and comfort of his guests than he is in collecting a fee. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved camping here. We were at site #11. Nice level grassy spot and the bathroom was very clean. Scott was a really great host. Use caution with low clearance vehicles on the driveway. We didn’t have any trouble but during a rainy day it could be a little challenging. The location was great for us to access Vicksburg. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for everything!

Weekend Trip to Leatherneck On Big Black River

Very nice property. Well maintained. Secluded and quiet. I loved it and will be back.

I loved this canopied area near the river! Many spots to choose from and numerous fire pits. It was a one night stop while traveling west, but I do look forward to returning to spend a few days next time

7 nights at Leatherneck On Big Black River

Great location, peaceful, quiet, enjoyed the sounds of nature & the surroundings.

I liked being here so much that I ended up extending my stay which I will probably do again. This has to be one of the best places here on this site that I have stayed at. The host, Jon, has been very accommodating and available at all times, even checking up on me when all the storms rolled through this area the past couple of weeks. The facility itself is awesome. It is nice and quiet and comfortable with electric hookups and water and even a camp kitchen which is a very nice touch. I will definitely be staying here again! 👍😁

5 nights at Leatherneck On Big Black River

This place felt very secluded. You can hear the interstate from the sites, but it’s still very peaceful and beautiful. Unfortunately, didn’t see in alligators. Nice road to walk the dogs on. It was a little bumpy and muddy, but very easy to navigate. Close to the river, and a lot of greenery.

A very comfortable and safe place to stay. Easy to get to everything in Vicksburg including all of the historical sites.

Very nice property. We had the place to ourselves. Easy communication with the host.
