Weekend Trip to Paul’s Lakeside Cottage
We came here for our honeymoon and had an incredible experience. Paul was extremely kind and welcoming, and he took the time to show us his beautiful property. The cabin is amazing and has everything you need to enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation. We felt very comfortable and at peace during our stay. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

Paul has a really comfortable place, beautiful location on a quiet shallow small lake. There is a canoe, and many other entertainment opportunities are there onsite or nearby. it is a quiet spot, enough room for small family and pet to shar with Paul and his dog Piper as i did. i wish I had a few more days to enjoy, but i'll be back!

I noticed their website said they were already closed for the season but HipCamp still let me book it. I was half-expecting a call back and a refund but instead, they were more than welcoming of my stay and even sort of apologetic that some of the amenities were no longer available this late in the year. On top of that, I got held up in traffic and didn’t arrive until almost 8:30pm which they did not seem the least bit bothered by. One day, as I was returning from the trails with my dog, they offered her treats and an adorable Sunset Pines scarf!
I was only in town for a wedding but will definitely make the trip again in the future, maybe even get myself a seasonal RV lot someday!

Paul’s Lakeside Cottage is such a lovely peaceful relaxing retreat. The views of the lake are stunning!! Paul and Piper were so kind and welcoming. We hiked his property, explored the nearby forest and small towns nearby, and of course a nightly campfire-we heard loons and owls. We usually tent camp so this was a treat-Paul has everything you need! I highly recommend!!!!!!

Amazing place to stay! Paul goes above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. We forgot propane for our blackstone last stay, and without hesitation, he gave us two 1lb tanks. We’ve stayed with Paul twice and will be back soon!

I brought my 3 dogs up to Paul's for a much needed getaway and I honestly can't wait to go back (sans dogs at least once). Piper was there to greet me as soon as I opened my car door and she is such a sweetheart!
The views are goegeous, the hiking is a ton of fun with cool stuff to find, that stars are beautiful, the wildlife is fun to admire. I was able to listen to a loon, saw and heard my first raven in person, and watched a great blue heron that likes to feed out on the lake every day. There's definitely a reason all his reviews are absolutely glowing.

I can’t say enough good things or hardly pick my favorite. Enjoyed spending time on the lake, letting the dogs jump off the dock, and renting the EBikes for a day.
Paul is very kind, responsive, and eager to help guests as needed.
Great place, we will be back!

A great hipcamp spot & Paul is a wonderful host! If you are looking for quiet and solitude, this is the place. No traffic noise or other campers to what can otherwise spoil a desirable camping experience. Paul even showed me around his land and the neighboring area and gave me recommendations for local live music. I highly recommend a visit to Paul's place!

My husband and I spent about a week at Paul's for our honeymoon and it was perfect. Paul is a great host and his dog Piper is just one of the sweetest. While we did explore a little of the near by towns and areas we mostly just stayed at the cabin and enjoyed the quiet. It was so incredibly peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. Thank you Paul and Piper, hope to see you again every year for our anniversary!

1 night at Paul’s Lakeside Cottage
Beautiful spot, super friendly host. Was easy to find, the AC was a surprise bonus. Well stocked cabin and kitchen, everything you could need. Paul was friendly and helpful, would highly recommend and hopefully return one day!
Only note is we had planned on swimming, but the lily pads and weeds are thick this time of year, so plan for that if needed.

The woods were serene and the paddling on the lake was so quiet and tranquil. The cabin was rustic but had everything we needed. It was a wonderful relaxing getaway.
Paul and Piper were very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting.

Very nice spot off the beaten path. It was only one night so didn't get to get the full enjoyment of the place, but it was very well maintained and the host was very genuine.

Paul’s cabin is nice and simple. Beautiful land and lake access. We saw loons, herons and heard lots of other birds each evening and morning. The cabin had the essentials we needed and Paul was very hospitable.

Loved our time at Paul and Piper's. Their hospitality is fantastic. Plenty of room for our dog to stretch her legs. Cabin is also close to the NCT for hiking which was our focus. Wish we would've had more time - would have loved to take a sunset cruise around the lake with Paul and Piper. We hope to be back!

Great lakeside cabin for a weekend of relaxation. Very few lily pads in the water in early May which made a great swimming spot for our dog. Beautiful, serene spot.

The cabin on the lake was so perfect and peaceful. The beavers on the lake were active floating around and we even saw an eagle! The cabin is rustic and clean.

The cabin was perfect for a wintery getaway! Paul was a gracious host who went the extra mile (literally) to meet us at the road’s entrance with a snowplow-equipped jeep to make sure we didn’t get stuck in the snow.
The space was surprisingly spacious with lots of spots to hang out indoors. We enjoyed the wood stove, games and puzzles, and the bed was very comfy. We look forward to coming back when it’s warm enough weather to swim and take the canoe out on the water.

Paul's place is a true gem - and Paul + Piper are gems of hosts! We enjoyed a cozy and very cold winter weekend warm and comfy by the wood stove, walking out on the frozen lake, enjoying good conversations with Paul, and even getting some sweet tips on the happenings in town. Already so excited to come back!
