Enjoy all this lush scenery from the spacious deck under the trees at Strawberry Lake Cabin—from morning coffee to evening glass of wine. Inside, an open common area, including a fully stocked and gleaming new kitchen, faces cathedral windows overlooking the deck, the woods, and the lake. These windows span the width of the house, all the way up to the lofted sleeping area, which is perched just at the tree line. To make your family retreat easy, we provide a highchair, a baby crib, and a washer/dryer for warm, fresh clothes for the family mid-week. No matter who you’re traveling with, we highly recommend a canoe trip out on Strawberry Lake. We will provide the canoe for you! And the water here is calm and peaceful, with less motorboat traffic than on many of the lakes in this area. Not to mention the water clarity: spring-fed Strawberry Lake is so clear; the DNR’s 2022 lake survey measured water clarity at 21 feet! In summer, the Tamarac Lake National Wildlife Refuge, located just three miles away, comes alive and is a spectacular place for a hike or a bike ride.
