Much of the property to the west is bordered by state land, perfect for privacy, nature hikes, and hunting. The cabin features neutral colors, pine ceilings, minimal décor, excellent use of space, and abundant windows, so you can enjoy plenty of natural light and views of the surrounding woods. The great room includes comfortable leather furniture, a dining table, a 75-inch Smart TV with a PS4, and a cozy wood stove. A washer and dryer are also provided. Other things to note: The lakeshore is beautiful, but it requires a short walk along the gravel road followed by a short hike down to the water, where you'll find metal chairs and a dock. The dock is very basic but functional, and a boat can be tied to it. Aquatic plants become more abundant in the water later in the summer. The dock is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This was the perfect quiet getaway cabin for our family. Nice and secluded cabin with access to the water! Fantastic cozy backyard area with firepit. The cabin itself worked great for us; open concept allowed for more family interaction, and then also able to shut the door and allow the early risers to make coffee and take showers while the teenagers get to sleep in a bit and not be disturbed. The cabin was a great blend of authentic rustic “cabin feel” along with some luxuries (A/C if needed, nice new addition with nice shower, laundry, etc…). Take the time to try the spring water down the road! The loons provided great company. Our golden retriever enjoyed the layout as well. It worked real well for having a dog. Great rental!

Absolutely incredible property! Such a privilege to get to stay at Bob’s place. The cabin and setting are truly heavenly. We saw one boat the entire week. Beavers, owls, herons, muskrats, birds of many species. It is so well set up for outdoor cooking & eating. The beach and kayaks made the lake feel so accessible and enjoyable. The condition of the cabin is so wonderfully preserved and the new bathroom is such a perk. Can’t wait to go back!

Paul's spot is absolutely beautiful. A thoughtful and spacious cabin right on the lake . Super comfortable bed , a wood stove, everything you need including a view. The lake is a wildlife viewing haven and you can see a ton of creatures if you take the time to walk around. The dock is a nice addition, and I went out and had ana maxing night of stargazing there. Played guitar by the fireplace, what more could you ask for . Oh wait, yeah Paul is rad. He has a ton of awesome stories and is living g his dream of being off grid. His pal Piper is an awesome pup as well. There is nothing g negative i can say. This place is a gem, as is the host.

Love the private cozy cabin! The wind through the pines is such a soothing sound! We enjoyed the hoots of the resident barred owl and distant honking of swans in the nearby channel. We loved our stay at this cabin, and will definitely be back. The cabin strikes a perfect balance between a rustic and modern getaway. We had a minor mixup getting the keys when we first arrived, but host Robert helped me get it fixed right away. When we got into the cabin, the wood stove was preloaded and already going, which was an awesome respite from the -10f temps outside.

Weekend Trip to Harvest Loon Camp

This is my fourth time staying at Harvest Loon and it never disappoints. Even in the dead of winter, this place is cozy and charming. We had so much fun hanging out by the wood stove, listening to music, and getting some respite from city life. We got stuck in snow on our way out and Bob was super helpful sending out a plow guy.
